Such a Beautiful place , it has such a nice location, the sense of a large 'inside garden' with large parasols and greenery all around but such an average food with bad service, we will not return, its a shame they dont invest in that

There was a time when this 'hideaway' restaurant at the back of Raanana was a cool place to be. It was my birthday today and for a celebratory lunch I made the mistake of selecting this place again, based on old memories. I should have checked again in Trip Advisor and I didn't! Slap wrists!! Basically, the managers of this... More

We love the place and come a lot. It's a shame that despite the unique and amazing spot, the owners don't make and effort improving food and service. We sent back the spinach lasagna to the kitchen because it was really way under our expectations. It was heated till it was dry and what was supposed to be béchamel sauce... More

Six of us came to Makom Balev and enjoyed a good dinner. We decided to get inside (you can also eat outdoors in a beautiful garden) because strangely enough it became a little too cold for us. The inside is full of antiques but the food is really excellent and nicely served. TIP: order a place in advance otherwise you... More

Well, some of the dishes were fine, but - The bread was not fully cooked and the beets were bad. Since we were alone in the place, the waitress told us she'd bring us a bread to eat with the aubergine, so I thought it was complimentary, and it was not. All the staff also noticed that we didn't touch... More

very nice place and design, various different options where to sit - inside or outside, and nice &n friendly team. The food was nice - options for cheap or expensive dishes (lack some medium range dishes). The service isn't proffesional but OK

Makom Balev is a beautiful spot. Maybe one of the nicest. If you want to meet someone for coffee, or a beer - or do a photo shoot - this place is great. The food is mediocre at best and the prices are ridiculous for what they provide.

We have been regular customers for over 5 years. Lately the menu has changed. The new menu is not good. We ordered lasagna and salmon pasta. They were cold instead of hot and they were not to our taste. Unless they improve drastically their menu this will not a preferred place.
