Lovely little patisserie selling the most delicious cakes, pastries and tea/coffee. Service can be a little hectic , a lot of chatter going on behind the service counter! We visited Petit Fours at least five times during our holiday and found the staff could be a little more friendly, as others have said, but we also understand their English language... More

It's the nearest bakery to our apartment - just a few minutes walk. Opens early so can bring home fresh croissants and bread for breakfast each morning. Always clean and busy with locals having their breakfast or for a quick shot of neat caffeine (bica coffee). The girls and I always have a competition - me asking what I want... More

Absolutely nothing wrong with the pastries, cakes and other eatables, nor with the coffee and other drinkables, but the service is atrocious. There is no system whatever. After being ignored, you may get your order taken, it may be brought to you all at once or in shifts and you may find someone to pay. We thought this was quaint... More

There is no outlook from this bakery and cafe but there is a courtyard type area behind it and tables inside. The coffee is excellent and the pastel de nata are to die for! We had several visits including one on the last day before leaving for the airport.

We visited here twice during our holiday having researched TripAdvisor and seen the good reviews. First time things were great, we approached the counter, ordered our coffee and cake and was asked to take a seat and our order was brought to the table. Staff weren't that friendly but it was busy. The coffee and cake were fine and enjoyed.... More

This is a really lovely patisserie. The cakes and the bread and sandwiches are varied and are all so tasty. Good coffee too. And this must be the most reasonably priced cafe in Funchal. Excellent value for money.

This place is Great! One of my favourite places in Funchal especially for coffee and cake and all types of snack. Tremendous VFM for mid Mornington/afternoon snack. It's a place where locals go which speaks volumes for the quality. The pasteis de nata are divine(custard tarts to you and me) Go there you won't be disappointed

Fabulous patisserie which also serves light meals. Popped in most mornings for fresh rolls and the quiche is excellent.

I pop over to Petit Four about three times a week. Great coffee and homemade cakes and bread. I often pop in for a croissant to take out and have breakfast at home as we live so close. They will also make a cake for you for a special occasion.

This little cafe doesn't look very interesting from the outside, but don't be put off. The service is friendly and helpful and the food is excellent and very reasonable prices. Try their custard tarts - they are wonderful.
