Great place to hang out

On the front overlooking the Cruise Ship bays with lots of outdoor seating when you want to catch a bit of sun. Nice food, reasonably priced and good service

The Beerhouse is a relatively new attraction to the recently refurbished marina area of Funchal and is proving to be very popular if the business during our two visits is any indicator. As the name suggests it is a beer that people come for primarily although they do have an extensive - at times pricey - food menu. Some of... More

We went to this restaurant on the way to a concert and to have a beer instead of wine for a change. The food was super and the beer excellent. service was very good.

I had one half litre of the house beer. About a tenth of it was spilled by the waiter before I got it. The taste was almost indistinguishable from the factory brewed local Coral beer, which is not bad, but there is no reason to make a craft beer that tastes almost the same and cost fifty percent more.

Not cheap and the service varied from miserable to very helpful. the beer is brewed on the premises and is interesting. We went back one evening because I fancied the steak on a stone to be told it was not on, but it had been earlier on in the day. Worth a visit for the views and a beer as... More

We had lunch at this place and the waitress was not at all polite or even interested in giving us good service. Don't know if she just had a bad day or hated her job. We had our food, which tasted ok but not more, and then headed for our hotel. At the hotel we realised that we had been... More

This is a nice place to relax and enjoy the marina at the end of a long day of sightseeing. There was plenty of seating and the waiters are very friendly, which is amazing considering the large number of tourists that stop here. I ordered a glass of the house wine and the 'feijoada' (local dish with beans and mix... More

This was near our apartment and we were tired so we tried this restaurant. We ordered the Chateaubriand steak (as a meal for 2). We were not disappointed. Absolutely cooked to perfection. Quantity was perfect with enough to fill without being stuffed to excess. Price was reasonable and a very wide selection of beers. Whilst this looks more like a... More
