We visited this restaurant during our last holiday to the island and decided to go again. It was good before and this time was as enjoyable. The food was cooked to perfection and the portions large. It was very busy by 1900hr and the rest of the tables were reserved. Staff friendly and attentive, no issues. We will return on... More

Food was below average and staff were very slow. Drinks took ages to come and when food arrived we had to wait for our plates before we could eat. Won't be going back.

We have always enjoyed our visits to PVP and have been concerned to read some negative reviews of late. We need not have worried. The new owners come from Venezuela and are very friendly despite only being able to speak Spanish. We were so pleased to be warmly greeted by the staff we have known for some time. We both chose... More

My wife and I visited Madeira for the first time last week, and our second evening was spent in this very rustic, and traditionally decorated restaurant. We were unsure about it at first due to us being the only customers for the first 20 minutes, but the place soon became full. The staff are extremely friendly, attentive and professional, as... Had a fabulous meal second visit in 15 months, food and service even better than we remembered. Hats off to the ladies that served us, Paz and another young lady (sorry didn't get your name) my husband had regional kebab and I had sea bass which was delicious. We both had prawns with garlic to share for starter. Dessert and... More

Located not really downtown but close from the trendy area of Lido this restaurant is a good choice for some tapas. Good food, nice wine list, good service and free wifi. Not the cheapest place to go but would be happy to come back.

At only 7.30pm a restaurant that is regarded for its fish had run out of all fish except swordfish. The swordfish was not cooked through and was difficult to cut. The fish risotto was unexpectedly chewy and disappointing. This was our first poor experience at one of our favourite restaurants in Funchal.

Over the past 3 years we have been very regular visitors to this restaurant and went there four times over Christmas and New Year. Sadly, whilst the food remains very good the service has declined. Since the new Manager/owner took over there seems to be a bit of an cold and uncomfortable atmosphere in the place (as well as being... More

We had been there before and the food was good, so we decided to go there again. This time around, the food was ok but the service was simply TERRIBLE!!! They charged us things we didn't order, didn't apologize and we had to pay it anyways!! I DO NOT recommend!!!!!
