Always wanted to try this place, but we were very disappointed..! It looks nice and the view is great, but the food was not good. I had a fishsoup start with - NO THANKS - It tasted just like dishwater (soapy) and I had to send it back. I told the waitress - no reaction, she just took the plate... More

We spent a few days at the tidal pool and made use of thee Beach bar regularly. The team that is running the pool bar is a hard working team and always friendly. Very good setting

We always include atleast one meal here during our holiday in Madeira. Invariably we end up opting for the seafood platter - which is exceptional value for money and that is without allowing for the setting which is at times breath taking as you watch the sun set across the sea . In short we love it!!!

We only had a range of starters plus some salad and their special fries. It was perfect evening, the sun just setting. Very special the "lapas", a sort of rock clinging snail. The only disappointment were the ice creams (big brand only), but we really came for the seafood!

On holiday at a nearby hotel for a couple of week with relatives and went a few times on their recommendation. A couple of times in the evening and also at lunchtime - If you are a non fish eating person, go to the pizza place across the road! As there were 4 adults in the group we had a... More

We were looking forward to dining at this restaurant, given the good reviews it had obtained. The location is fantastic, with a great view of the sea and rugged coastline. However, the food was definitely not up to standard - the fish was tasteless and the vegetables were soggy. The staff was not friendly and we had the feeling we... More

The rating of average is a little unfair. I would like to have rated it as good but it is certainly not very good. The best thing about our experience here was the location. We visited on advice from a guide book and perhaps was expecting too much. The meals we both had were fine but we enjoyed better meals... More

Make sure you book as the best place to eat is on the roof terrace. Dont bother going if you dont like seafood - but if you do its a must to visit.

Had read the reviews and found ourselves near it after walking from the centre. Decided to sit outside - got hot once the sun fell below the thin clouds. Waitress seemed grumpy but was good fun. Not a huge selection but quality was great. Garlic bread was delicious as first taste and it got better. Fish rice for two was... More

We stopped here for a quick lunch whilst on a walk along the promenade to Praia Formosa. Great location but food and service decidedly average.
