This restaurant was a suggestion of our host in Madeira and we decided to go there for a romantic birthday celebration. It was totally worthy. The stuff, the atmosphere, the FOOD were amazing! The Chef (Duarte Aveiro) of the restaurant served us, such a charming...and polite personality, it was incredible experience! I would definitely recommend this place!More

Madeira's cusine at its best. Fresh, perfectlly cooked, elegant presentation, exelent price. Tried some restaurants around europe and I rank this one one of the best experiences I had. Thank you for the warm experiences.

Excellent food and attentive service. I picked the place based on TripAdvisor reviews and it fully met my expectations. We ordered scallops, octopus risotto and a white wine from Alentejo. The food was very fresh, delicate and tasty. The wine matched well: dry, light and...mineral. We loved sitting in the little garden/patio. Though it’s a bit pricey, I highly recommend the place.More

Tried Vivaldi on a couple of occasions and the food was really good. A special mention of the parrot fish. We liked also the outdoor ambience.

We came here for dinner on New Year's Day, sat outside and took the menu for 37 Euros including wine pairing. Amazing quality food, it was so good and we couldn't finish the good portions. The wine was also great! Highly recommended. Very nice service...and good value for money.More

The food was very tasty. We had meat and fish dishes. The picks for us are ...The soups. Mains duck, lamb. Desert the cheese cake. Book on fork 50% off excellent value. The staff work hard as it was busy the night went. They are...pleasant and professional. But not too in your face as they can be in some restaurants. Would definitely recommend.More

We spent in Vivaldi the Christmas Eve and everything was just perfect. The food was amazing, the service was outstanding and when we got the bill we couldn’t belive it was so little (in comparison to the regular menu). Many thanks to the team and...merry Christmas.More

The food was quite good but not outstanding. My octopus&shrimps curry was tasty but very greasy. "Greasy and therefore tasty" is a known cheap option. My friend ordered grilled octopus with garlic puree and it was very good but without garlic in the "puree". When...he asked the main waiter about it he did nothing, just walked away and never came back to us until the end of the evening. We took passion fruit souffle for dessert and it was okayish but not more. Wine recommendation from the waiter was on the pricey side but not as good as one would expect. At the end we waited for the bill for 20 minutes at least. At the end we didn't feel welcome and wouldn't come back.More

We ate here a couple of nights ago and were very impressed. This is one of the times that you wish the scores were out of 10. We decided to eat from their set menu, which is a contradiction in itself as it is anything...but set, which cost €37 all in. So, we had a glass of sparkling, with the amuse bouche. Which was cream cheese with cucumber and tomato. Doesn’t sound great? But it was so much more than that. It was great. We followed this with our starters of gravadlax, and garlic prawns. Outstanding, in fact I will now just tell you what we had as it was all outstanding. The mains were lamb shank and pork cheek. Fabulous. And puds of chocolate brownie with ice cream, and passion fruit soufflé. All with good wines. We were treated really well. Classy waiting of tables and thoughtful attention to detail. Would we go back? Yes. On Monday. We loved it. And €74 was billed as €74? One of the cheapest evening meals we had. We have just been out tonight and had 3 courses of nice food. Not great food. And it was €84. You should go.More

Superb food and service, definitely worth a visit. We ate at lunch time on the terrace which is a beautiful secluded and shaded area. I highly recommend the beetroot soup.
