Very nice restaurant. Friendly and polite staff as we walked past, so we came back for drink. Ended up staying for lunch. Very nice. Fish of the day was tasty and beautifully presented. Served overlooking the twinkling Atlantic. Would go back.
Came across this while walking along the "other" side of Funchal "old town"
So much better this side.
Everything fabulous - service, food, wine - poncha 🍸😁
I had the pork cheek - touched it with my knife and it fell apart - delicious 👍...Hubby had Limpets - amazing.
And the poncha - first time of tasting - delicious.
Thank you for a fantastic lunch - we'll be back😁😁More
there are many good restaurants in the Old Town, but this was our favourite - we visted it three times in one week. Both the parrot fish and the beef skewers, served with beuatiful vegetables and mash potatoes were exceptional. The deserts were magnificent too....Its a lovely setting and the staff were friendly and very attentive.More
Nice restaurant near the old fort, good staff very friendly and the headwaiter is running this place very smoothly with eyes for his guests what is very special in funchal.
The food is very good totally different than in these other restaurants and well priced...also nice winelist

Short break in Faro for a little winter sun.
Most restaurants very quiet , ate here three times.
Excellent food, first class service.
I recommend the pork and clams a great traditional combination. I’m seriously considering returning to Faro just to eat it again.
A...great experience and very affordable.More
Found this wonderful restaurant by chance . The rest of the restaurants we visited during holiday were as a result of recommendation or trip advisor reviews however this was by far the best food , service , and ambience during our weeks stay .
The...parrot fish was delicious
Will definitely be our first on our list when we return to MadeiraMore
Been here three times and about to go for a final dinner. That tells it all, really. Fabulous, low key service which comes with cheery, gentle banter. Superb food - best seafood soup and I’ve tried several elsewhere. Lovely outside area next to sea wall...and fab views. View is also good from slightly more sheltered covered area. Slightly away from hub bub which we prefer. Excellent classical guitar music when we have been there. Just a really lovely place.More
