We visit Madeira Island once every year and keep on going back to this restaurant. The menu is varied and dishes prepared to a high standard. Prices are excellent and staff very attentative. Try the peppered steak and veg with a mushroom sauce delicious. Highly reccomended..

Called in for lunch and have to say this meal was extremely average. Soup was OK but the pasta was a bit watery and flavourless. Don't think we would go back.

Been here three times during our holiday here. Have experienced very good food and service on every occasion, typically for my wife and I paying c€40 each time including a tasty cover starter, main meal (have experienced scabbard fish, pizza, cannelloni, risotto, pasta) with veg, salads and supported by red wine by the glass. Desserts have also been great if... More

Fab service, fab food. I recommend that you put this on your list of places to eat when you visit Funchal. I recommend the prawn tagliatelle, my daughter had the chicken pasta with garlic and spinach and she struggled to finish it. The staff were friendly and I didn't have to wait around for my meal.

We eat here weekly when staying at our timeshare. Service always excellent. We never eat pizza but everything else we try is also always excellent.

First visit to Madeira and a wide choice of restaurants. Tried a few but Tricolore had good pizzas which we had on our first visit. Went again and realised there was a very varied menu both Italian and European so tried steak and fish on different visits all well presented and good. Service was fast and efficient without being in... More

We ordered the pork espitada and the amount of meat we got was a so small we could have had this for a starter. When compared with other restaurants the meat postion was about half the size. More like a maximise profit day. The rest was ok, portions smaller than what we had seen elsewhere. Taste not strong and nothing... More

Our waiter was hostile from the outset, and was generally absent despite the restaurant being almost empty. I found someone to ask for Parmesan about 15 minutes after our pasta arrived. My chicken Caesar salad seemed to be made with chicken cold cuts.

La Tricolore offers very good food both at lunch and dinner time. The menu is varied and offers something for all tastes. As most of the hotels are based outside of Funchal's old town in Lido there is quite a good selection of restaurant options along the promenade to save you the walk into town and Tricolore is very good....
