We went there twice this trip and both times the food was excellent and great value. Only slight criticism is that on our second visit the wait staff seemed to be short of a full complement and the service was slow. My wife said who cares this is a great place to spend time; good music, great ambiance just chill.

We ate here twice during our recent holiday having first discovered this gem last year. Still ticks all the boxes and rates as our personal favourite out of a long list of excellent restaurants in Funchal. Looking forward to our next visit in October.

I booked this as our first meal out in Madeira before we left the uk. We certainly weren't disappointed. As others have said looks ordinary from the street but as you will see from the photo it's lovely inside. We opted for the concept menu with wine matched to each course- excellent food / stylishly presented and most importantly delicious... More

This is the place for fine dinning at very good price with wines and menu choices. A Fine Portuguese table where you can eat fine Portuguese food. The chef is very creative, food tasteful and service very good. A must go!

We initially dismissed the restaurant as we walked by, it looked too quiet as there were not many occupied tables. However, after some homework on TA it was decided we would give it a go a couple of days later. For me it was the highlight of the holiday. There is also a larger dining area out of the street... I've been here and reviewed it before, and I was impressed. This time it was better lit than I previously recall, when it really was as dark as a salt cellar. The air conditioning was a little harsh for some and diners were asking to be moved. The food was very good and the choice reasonably varied. Vegetables in good... More

This was our favourite restaurant on a previous trip to Madeira, but was slightly disappointing this time, but only because the changed menu wasn't as interesting for our tastes. Food and service was still good however and there is a pleasant guitarist if you like music with your meal.

Lunch is absolutely fantastic Dinner is absolutely fantastic. Especially for the couples in love, filét mignon and live music is a must. When you eat a piece of the filét mignon and looking at your sweetheart and having live music in the background, what a wonderful feeling, 10/10, and the service is excellent and the atmosphere is rustic and the... We visited again this month and the food is still as good as ever. We had the wine pairing menu with more than just one glass with each course. The service was good and although a couple of things were not right, a sign of a good restaurant is how they deal with them and they were dealt with quickly... More

Go for the extra value menu with wine. Brilliant food, service and wine. Fine dinning at great value, we all loved it.
