We went here twice in our week long stay and have been before on other visits to Madeira, the place has changed much, its in a lovely building the local call it the salt house. We did the concept menu which is a good deal with wine, the portions are small but are packed with taste, plus you get 5... More

I went here with my clients as they took me out for dinner as a celebratory dinner and a thank you dinner. They had read that this place was called "The place you have to have dinner when you are in Madeira". The service was really good and the waitress was really funny and playing along in our conversations. The... More

Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. They offer a value meal option which includes aperitif, couvert, amuse bouche, starter, main, dessert, & tea/coffee for €31.50 with no restriction on the a la carte menu. The service was first class and the food was stunning, amazing!!! The venue was impressive and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Funchal.

Wondering along a side street starring at trip advisor we found this gem. It has a set menu for 31 euros and we added the wine package to it one at 10 euro the other at 20 euro. The wines were excellent and when I disliked one they changed it for another . Service was very slow to begin with... More

Can't recommend highly enough. Popped in on the off chance and a super meal - gourmet food, great service with a sense of humour, great wine. Wife doesn't want to eat anywhere else for rest of week. A little pricey by average Funchal restaurant standards (circa €45 for 3/4 course dinner with wine) but is not an average restaurant.

What a really atmospheric restaurant. You probably wouldn't give it a second look if you happened upon it. We booked and were not disappointed. Beautifully presented dishes and tasty too. Next time I will be hungry enough to have the tasting menu.

Much though it pains me to write this review, this is what Trip Advisor is about. Our experience was that the food was excellent, but the service was painfully slow: having finished our main courses and looking forward to another glass of wine and dessert, by the time our plates were cleared (15 mins after we finished) the moment had... We have been here several times for lunch and dinner. Never a dull moment. Food, wine and service is top of the range. Not 'fine dining'.
