Once again, we visited this restaurant during our recent stay in Madeira. As always the food and service was of a very high standard. The wine suggestion for every course was perfect and really complimented the food well. The staff are extremely friendly and will go out of their way to help you. The setting of this restaurant is lovely... More

Food was excellent. Staff were smart, polite and attentive. One of our best meals whilst staying in Funchal. The risotto was by no means your standard boring risotto, and gives an idea of what the place is all about (just had to post a picture of it!) Loved the setting, in what we assumed to be an old salt store,... More

My husband and I visited this lovely restaurant last night. We have the value menu which really was excellent value. The food was delicious- especially the filet mignon and the chocolate volcano. Service was excellent- attentive but not over bearing. An equivalent meal in the uk would have cost well over £100 but our total bill including drinks was €72.... More

We tried 4 different 'concept' restaurants while in Funchal but I think this was the best. Visited twice and had excellent food both times and great service. It's hard to pick a favourite of all the dishes we had between us but I think the fois gras may just be a winner - it was spectacular. How do they get... More

We were so anxious to get a table here that we booked on line months before arriving in Madiera just to make sure. I can't speak too highly of this restaurant and I just know that if it could be up-rooted and plonked back down in London, the critics would be tripping over themselves to visit and would heap praise... We discovered this restaurant last year having read favourable reviews on Tripadvisor. We loved our meals then and were keen to return this holiday . In our opinion it combines traditional Madeiran / Portuguese flavours with modern techniques and presentation. We ate dinner there twice this holiday and both thoroughly enjoyed our food choices. My husband and I have opposite tastes:... More

I was a little apprehensive before visiting here, partly because of all the amazing reviews (I always wonder if I'll be disappointed) and partly because the only negative reviews seemed to complain about portion size - and I like a decent sized meal! At this place you can do the tasting menu which is about seven courses and costs around... More

Can't fault this restaurant..the quality on service and food is second to none on this island. What you can expect is top quality seafood and meat cooked to perfection in an international concept with wine pairings at around 80 Euro for two.don't ask me how to find it as it's down an alleyway...just get a cab and in there hungry!!!

The ambience in the restaurant seemed calm and inviting, sadly I can't fully comment as we were seatet outside. This seating proved to put a significant downer on our evening. We were not told that outside was for smokers and the outside being a covered alleyway we did not think to ask. When the table next to us was seated... More
