Good restaurant in an old salt store. Old building, well decorated. Nice ambience, very good food and service. If you go there during the week to have lunch, the meals are really not expensive, because you can choose the dishes of the day. You'll pay around 9,00€ for the dish. If you go for dinner, then you choose the "A... More

Our second visit and this beautiful restaurant has lost none of it's charms. The ambience and service is first class. The food is innovative, beautifully prepared and presented, the accompanying wines are excellent and reasonably priced. The music is, as you would expect, tasteful and perfectly pitched. A perfect place to celebrate a special occasion and the final touch, a... More

We have been visiting this restaurant for some six years and it is always on our itinerary. There were signs of refurbishment in new chairs and table clothes in matching grey which makes for a nice ambiance. We opted for the all inclusive menu and selection of house wines (white with the starter and red for the main meal). We both... More

We had dinner in Armazem do Sal.A little bit tourist type but excellent food and good service. The restaurant is within an old salt warehouse which alone worth the visit. The best tables are reserved for big tour groups which is the negative point.Good wine list.

Every thing about the service and food at this restaurant is outstanding. The wine choices for the pairings were explained as to why they were suited to your food selection without any wine snobbishness and every thing was designed to make you feel attended to without having a waiter hovering about you. The desserts are the highlight for me and... More

We look forward to returning... More

This was our 5th NewYears Eve spent at this restaurant. It is always difficult to imagine that this restaurant can improve but this year it surpassed all our expectations. The food was as good if not better than the Michelin Starred restaurants we have visited during the year. It is always nice to be recognised as a returning diner and welcomed... More

Our first dinner in the island. It's our first time to visit Madeira and this restaurant was highly recommended by a staff in the hotel we were staying for that week. The place is very lovely, the food is excellent and beautifully presented and the service is impeccable. It's a joy to experience this restaurant. Hopefully we can visit again.

Armazem do Sal a exquisite taste. I have being eaten in a few restaurants with one Michelin Star, at least two of them are not better.
