What a really atmospheric restaurant. You probably wouldn't give it a second look if you happened upon it. We booked and were not disappointed. Beautifully presented dishes and tasty too. Next time I will be hungry enough to have the tasting menu.

Much though it pains me to write this review, this is what Trip Advisor is about. Our experience was that the food was excellent, but the service was painfully slow: having finished our main courses and looking forward to another glass of wine and dessert, by the time our plates were cleared (15 mins after we finished) the moment had... Yet again stunning food and a wonderful atmosphere. We were given a warm welcome. The new style menu where you choose either house wines(which are good) or premium wines (which are wow) is very good.I was yet again spoilt for choice. The tuna starter which was a special for that evening came with cauliflower but you would never of thought it was!!.Wow what... We have been here several times for lunch and dinner. Never a dull moment. Food, wine and service is top of the range. Not 'fine dining'.

most restaurants in Funchal are not too elegant (however could be with great food), this one is elegant, with nice atmosphere, quiet, food is more sophisticated, as it is also pricy. Therefore I would recommend (for dinner) having "extra value menu" with "house selection of wine" – you have a selection from the menu and a lot of wine pairing,... More

2 years since our last visit and another amazing experience. Fantastic staff, good service, delicious food and fantastic value. The smoked bream with mushroom risotto was the nicest meal I had all holiday! I can't recommend this place enough, I wish we had managed another visit during our week away.

We have had some lovely meals on the island but this tops the lot. The quality of the food is top notch. I had the sashimi for starters followed by sea bass. Jen had prawns and the pork. The food that came out was well presented and tasted sublime. The service was exceptional and so friendly. We have already booked... More

My husband is so mad that I brought him here. His exact words "I want food, not art!" We each had the filet mignon and shared the octopus and cod fish; we also had the foie gras. All were good, however we both left hungry and disappointed. If you are more into ambience and artsy food presentation then this is... More

Dear client, Thank you for the time you took writing this review. We read it and realized that when you came to our restaurant you probably didn't expect to be eating at a Fine dinning restaurant. I believe that if you enjoyed the food and you thought the it was made with art than the classification given to us is... More

We would never have found this lovely restaurant without TripAdvisor as it is located up a narrow side street that ordinarily we would not have gone to - but this place is really really nice. A fantastic ambience with live music - a guitarist playing a wide variety of music - made for a very nice atmosphere. When we arrived... More
