Just came over from the us and staying in Sintra for a couple of days, I visited “ Gelati Di chef “ after having lunch in a restaurant nearby. The ice cream tasted delicious, it was so creamy not artificial. The staff was really nice...too, they advised me on which flavour is better. Wonderful experience. Definitely recommend it!More

I paid for a single scoop, but it was more like a kiddie scoop. I honestly don’t think I would’ve been half as disappointed had the gelato actually been enjoyable. I ordered the tiramisu flavor and it tasted like straight alcohol. Absolute rip-off. Would recommend...going to Fábrica da Nata right next door instead - infinitely better!More

I have read some pretty harsh reviews about this place, yet we found the ice cream to be really good and the girl serving it was very sweet. I spoke to her in my best Portuguese (I am not very good) and she very politely...entertained it without reverting back to English. I would recommend it, we will be going back.More

Visited here on a Monday lunchtime just for some ice cream/snacks. We were enticed by a very interesting ice cream menu which had a variety of interesting flavours notably Pastel de Nata ice cream, Egg Yolk ice cream and Cheese with Pumpkin jam ice cream....I decided to go for Pastel de Nata ice cream considering I love the custard tarts. The ice cream was good but I couldn’t taste the custard tart too much. We also got some tomato and mozzarella empanadas which were pretty average. The food was pretty pricey, and combined with the above, I gave a 4 star rating.More

Ordered two ice creams each with two scoops. Knew it was €4.60 and that is expensive but would have been fine if it wasn’t the worst I’ve cream I’ve ever had. Blocks of ice in the scoop. Small scoop. Tasteless. Overpriced. Poor service. Quite frankly...the worst way I’ve ever spent €9!!!More

the lemon sorbet from Gelati Chefe was cool and refreshing for the hot day we experienced in mid-may. There are a couple of chairs in the shop which is air conditioned.

We had 2 crepes, one plain and the other strawberries and chocolate. They were tasty but over priced.

Sadly their coffee has a taste of a very cheap coffee. Can't say that about the price of the coffee. I don't mind paying extra for a decent coffee but that was a rip-off.

Really expensive and bad food, we ordered the “ hot and cold for two” and got the worst profiteroles we ever tasted. Also the ice cream tasted like it melted and then cooled again. Impolite service, we only got an angry look from the girls...behind the counter. €3.50 for a tasteless cappuccino is ridiculous! No bathroom, and the tables weren’t cleaned. Don’t go here!More

We had visited the Sintra National Palace on a hot day, and in the early afternoon when the temperature was at its highest, before moving on decided it was time a stop at a gelati. Crossing the central square, opposite the Palace, we spotted this...shop just behind one of the cafes. Maybe not the best ice cream we have ever tasted, but a selection of flavours, and a few seating places outside in the shade made it a good break before moving on.More

One of the few (or only?) ice cream cafes in the old centre of Sintra. Probably a reason why the price was quite much for the size of the portion. Ice cream was good, though.

I had a waffle with ice cream, peanuts and chocolate. In reality it looked even better than the picture, and it was delicious. The staff was very friendly.

Watch out for a upselling trick here - you ask for a small cone, they give you a large one and charge you accordingly. If this happens to you just walk out, you have no obligation to accept the cone.

Refreshing milkshakes. €3.50 each, proper ice cream. A much needed rest from the Lisbon inclines. Staff polite and helpful.
