We were walking all the sights and got down to Cantinho de São Pedro upon recommendation of our host in Sinatra - it was just past 3pm and we were tired, hoping to get at least something to drink expecting the place to close at 3. To our surprise the extremely friendly staff checked with the chef and even offered... More

A friend of mine reccomended this place and I was very pleased with it. I had a good hearty lamb stew, and the portions are big! The people working there were very friendly and nice, the food was good, the restaurant was cozy and the prices were decent :)

We visited on recommendation that it would be more authentic than in the historic centre of Sintra - a good recommendation as this is away from the crowds of tourists and many of the clients were local. There is a nice warm old-world ambience. The service is attentive but not obtrusive and the food is excellent. However the portion sizes... More

This place came highly recommended to us by a local. It seemed to be mostly locals dining there. I ordered steak which was incredible. The cheese they serve there as an appetizer is great also.

We had dinner here on the recommendation of our hotel. The dining room is stone walled with a fireplace in the corner to keep it warm in the winter. It's can be very quiet in dining room if it isn't full, which is different for us coming from the states where every restaurant seems to play music. The food is... More

Nice place visited on the recommendation of the hotel owner. Although the menu choice is very typical of the area I got a feeling that this place had a slightly higher ratio of locals. Make of that what you will but I'm assuming it means it's one of the better places. That is to be confused with being flash as... More

We didn't know what to expect in the highly touristic village of Sintra. Well it was a nice surprise. We enjoy the grilled pork escalope. As others mentioned, the portion are fairly big, and we ended up with three escalopes per plate. Good service and the food was excellent. Highly recommended.

Our group dinner here was very disappointing. So-so to not-good food, and the poorest house wine in town. Try Dom Pipas or Casa do Xico, both in Sintra for much better, and less expensive, food.

As many of the better rated places were closed on a Monday, we found this local restaurant, which had had some mixed reviews on TA. What a pleasant surprise ... A local feel about it, nice enough wine selection , and good food at a reasonable price! Some advise, portions are large so share rather if you don't feel like... More
