Nice place visited on the recommendation of the hotel owner. Although the menu choice is very typical of the area I got a feeling that this place had a slightly higher ratio of locals. Make of that what you will but I'm assuming it means it's one of the better places. That is to be confused with being flash as... More

We didn't know what to expect in the highly touristic village of Sintra. Well it was a nice surprise. We enjoy the grilled pork escalope. As others mentioned, the portion are fairly big, and we ended up with three escalopes per plate. Good service and the food was excellent. Highly recommended.

Our group dinner here was very disappointing. So-so to not-good food, and the poorest house wine in town. Try Dom Pipas or Casa do Xico, both in Sintra for much better, and less expensive, food.

As many of the better rated places were closed on a Monday, we found this local restaurant, which had had some mixed reviews on TA. What a pleasant surprise ... A local feel about it, nice enough wine selection , and good food at a reasonable price! Some advise, portions are large so share rather if you don't feel like... More

I was taken here by my uncle who is a big fan. Was served very efficiently and offered a selection of fish to choose from. Can't remember the name of it but it was huge so shared with my wife. Was cooked well and washed down with a refreshing glass of vinho Verde recommended by the waitress.

If you traveled to Portugal to have (real) French food, this is probably the best place in Sintra, but if you prefer local gastronomy, just look somewhere else. And, as in most restaurants in Portugal, dishes are served very generously. The French dishes are tasty and perfect, the service friendly, smiling and efficient (a bit too fast???), so the place... The restaurant is oldy worldy looking but the food is great. Manager has very good English and can explain what the dishes are. There ISNT a kids menu. We went twice as we enjoyed it so much. You can have good authentic Portuguese food. My daughters steak was one of the best she had ever had (and she has alot... More

We went to the Cantinho upon suggestion, we were not disappointed. We tried some meat (pork and lamb) and the portions were so big it was difficult to finish everything. Even if we were already stuffed we had to try some dessert, and everybody should do the same! the waiters didn't speak english or spanish or italian but they were... More
