This restaurant was recommended by our hosts at Quinta do Sao Tadeu and no wonder. Excellent, authentic Portuguese food; delicious, generous and so unbelievably reasonable. This family has had this restaurant for 40 years and they know how to make you feel welcome. Forget the town centre, this is the real deal.

One of the best meals I have ever had in this typical restaurant. We went in a group of people and I will never forget the flavors and how good was the goat cheese. We had a big variety of appetizers at the beginning including the famous goat cheese, bacalao, olives, etc. Then the main courses included caprino, beef/Pork/seafood skewers... More

It's located at Sintra and very near to the Pena Palace and Sintra village. We visited with a recommendation of local tour guide and the food is at very big portion and very reasonable price. I personally like the cottage cheese (without salt and pepper), it's refreshing and soft. The monkfish & prawn kebab is nice too.

This restaurant is not on the tourist route and was half full when we visited at 2PM on a week day but you can expect a wait at peak hours or weekends. We had a fantastic cod fish (bacalhau) prepared portuguese style, along with the many appetizers. This is a very good traditional family owned restaurant.

We tested the place one evening before my 30th birthday and it was SO good, we celebrate there! The staff was amazing, they set up a festive dinner table, organized a small candle in my dessert and served us joyfully. We came back because the food is simply cooked to perfection! The wines are amazing and the overall attitude of... More

Wonderful family restaurant with a bonus of a birthday celebration! Great Portuguese cuisine with mostly locals guests. Our party tasted kid, black port and many kebabs. The almond cake was to die for! Egg white meringue (Ile Floatent) was amazing.

Lovely authentic feel with very helpful and friendly waiters. Having read TA reviews we had starter each then shared main course, best way to do it as there is lots to eat. Breads, cheese and olives then garlic, coriander soup with egg on top, my husband helped me devour it, very tasty. Goat stew wow, that was good, full of... More

This one fine example of a traditional typical restaurant. A wide variety of Portuguese typical dishes and a nice farm deco makes this a place to visit. Professional staff and friendly atmosphere.

My girlfriend and I had a great time here. The atmosphere and the design are truly local, and the restaurant's location is far from anything you can call touristic. Only one waiter out of ten knew English, a fact that undoubtedly contributed to the authenticity of our experience. As for the food, we mainly had beef dishes - traditional Portuguese... More

Make sure you go here when you are hungry!!! The staff are very friendly and will help guide you through the menu. We had two full meals and two half portions for four people and we struggled to eat it all, which was a shame as the quality of the food was excellent and tasty, but they kindly packed a... More
