Thus place was packed for dinner and I can see why. Food was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Portion sizes were huge..perfect after a long and strenuous day. Pricing is reasonable. Do yourself a favor and order the monkfish stew. It's delicious and can be shared by 2. They will bring you bread, butter, cheese, and olives to start. Reject what... More

First time I have gone through a menu on a tablet! What a good idea- every language catered for,and little photos to show you what you were getting. Cheese and bread appetisers were good. Our lamb stew cooked in red wine with potato was tasty, and very filling; that's what the locals like, we were told. Fans of Jose Mourinho... More

We came here on the recommendation of our concierge who said it was her favourite place in Sintra. When we arrived we were quite disappointed with the ambience and decor. The lighting was very bright and the other diners all appeared to be absorbed by their mobile phones. It was only when we received our menu on an iPad that... More

Worst restaurant I've been to in Portugal. Possibly in Europe... As agreed by my half Portuguese partner... zero atmosphere, appalling owner, poor food... first off they bring (without requesting) a ton of bread, olives, butter, cheeses that add up to about €15. Which we twigged about and sent back; awkward start there. Ordered onion soup starters which arrived in a... More

This restaurant has the most local and regional food around Sintra. It feels so cozy right away and the staff helped us find seat immediately. We tried the tomato soup, the grilled specialty fish and the rice dessert. It's not a place for you to receive the "American service", this is for your to get the Portuguese deliciousness. Don't hesitate,... More

The place is identical to when it was opened probably 30 or 40 years ago. The choice of dishes too. The novelty is that the menus are available on digital tablets. I was not impressed by my chanfana (mutton stew) but compared to the tourist traps all around sintra, it's probably a safe-ish bet.

We waited half an hour for a table on this restaurant. This is a very authentic restaurant with typical food. Good service and huge portions. However not the best place we've tasted in Portugal

We were on a day trip to Sintra from Lisbon and initially decided to have dinner back in Lisbon as most places in Sintra looked like tourist traps. On our way to the station we walked past the town hall where we decided to take some pics and noticed a little restaurant tucked away in the far corner of the... More
