The place is identical to when it was opened probably 30 or 40 years ago. The choice of dishes too. The novelty is that the menus are available on digital tablets. I was not impressed by my chanfana (mutton stew) but compared to the tourist traps all around sintra, it's probably a safe-ish bet.

We waited half an hour for a table on this restaurant. This is a very authentic restaurant with typical food. Good service and huge portions. However not the best place we've tasted in Portugal

We were on a day trip to Sintra from Lisbon and initially decided to have dinner back in Lisbon as most places in Sintra looked like tourist traps. On our way to the station we walked past the town hall where we decided to take some pics and noticed a little restaurant tucked away in the far corner of the... More

A bit out of the way and doesn't look much from the outside, but worth trying - traditional Portuguese dishes done in a modern way, reasonable prices and good quality and service.

Cute and cozy restaurant, good food except for the onion soup that doesn't taste, look or smell like onion soup. Not only it doesn't taste like it but was not eatable. A waste of money. Everything else was good and the service even better.

This quiet, almost hidden restaurant is located about 3mins walk from Sintra train station and beside the council municipal of sintra. Turn left once out of train station and walk down the slope. They open at 12pm on the dot and is close on Wednesday. We were the only customers as it was early. Manu comes in digital tablet and... More

Had a rice with curry and it was absolutely delicious. Good local restaurant with cheap prices and tasty food. Not touristic at all, had interesting menus (tablet computers) and very friendly service.

Family friendly, local bistro with a wide range of gorgeous home cooked dishes. Just try it. We walked in on spec and although we had to wait, we were served quickly, with a genuine smile and were blown away. Will definitely return.

We ate here for lunch. It was nice to get away from the tourist filled restaurants and have a quiet and very good meal. We had a lamb casserole dish & a monk fish casserole dish and both were outstanding and very large. We shared them amongst our family of 4. The bread and local cheese was amazing as well.... More

The room is clean and nicely appointed. The menus are iPads and give you a picture of your dish. They have a nice wine list and the server is helpful with the wines you prefer. The menu has lots of fish and meat plates and they are all quite large. The seafood stew came with monkfish and shrimp with rice... More
