One of the best places to have cuttlefish in Setúbal :) They also have takeout which is great! Good for families, couples and/or friends! It's a bit pricy, but it matches the service/quality!

It can get very busy. We had to get a ticket and wait for about 20 minutes. One can find mostlly locals adn every single one of them orders the same combination: cuttelfish+salad+fries. We decided to stay on track and were not disappointed. Deserts were homemade and tasty.

The dish that is typical of Setubal is choco frito; fried cuttlefish. And this establishment serves the best! It's very busy and you may have to join the queue outside but the wait is certainly worth it! Bon appetit!

I've been to this restaurant a few times. For a non-Portuguese, it's worth a visit, because their "choco frito" is good, and the place is normally full with locals. However I was not too impressed with the place itself. Compared to many other similar local restaurants, this one gave me the feeling of having a slightly lower quality overall.

In Setúbal, you will eat well everywhere, actualy. And if you are a fan of fish, seafood... this is the place to go. If you are not... well...you will be after trying the fried cuttlefish. If you came to Setúbal you have to try it (choco frito). It's one of the local specialities and the place to eat... the best... More

Typical Setúbal fried squid. Good food standard, price accountable taking into account the amount and the effectiveness.

Went to Casa Santiago to finally have a taste of the traditional choco frito (fried squid) for which this restaurant is famous. I can confirm that it lives up to the expectations: albeit packed on a friday, at lunch, we got a table and ordered two portions of choco frito with fries and white rice, the traditional portuguese sides. The... More

Choco Frito (fried cuttlefish) is the house special, and it is very, very good. It comes with French fries and salad. Make sure you squeeze lemon on top of it for better taste. Also, make sure that you ask if there is "ovas de choco" (cuttlefish eggs), they are as good, if not better than the cuttlefish proper!
