More than an hour waiting for the food, no expectation to arrive. Had enough and walked away. Avoid this place, terrible service.

We enjoyed the family atmosphere of this waterfront restaurant as well as its friendly and efficient staff. The place was full, yet we did not feel overwhelmed. We had chocos fritos and seashells. The portions were generous, the food was delicious and the prices were...reasonable!More
After over one hour of placing our order, the monkfish rice we had ordered for two, arrived at the table. It was extremely overcooked and the fish did not have the texture of fresh monkfish. This is a traditional dish in Portugal that we frequently...eat and know well when it is fresh and of good quality. Definitely do not recommend.More
Ordered butter for the bread. A plate came with butter 2.8g, 1x cheese spread, and 2 x 22 g of tuna spread. When we received the bill each item individually cost at 1.5 euro each . Total cost 7.5 euro . To put into perspective...it was the same price as the wine. Complete con. Stay away. I have since read lots of similar reviews where customers were conned costing. Luckily we just omitted the tip and was not out of pocket.More
The contrast between this restaurant and Rio Azul next door is remarkable. One full, the other empty. The fish all looked good and fresh. Everyone seemed to be enjoying it and it wasn't expensive. The portions are generous too.
When asked about an average weight for a dourada for 1 person, we were told 500g. The price was 42€ / kg(already a robbery for the concept pretty mediocre that place is)! They knew it was for 1 person, they got the heaviest one they...had I paid 40€ for 1 dourada( not counting with a drink and salad) The sad thing is that they assumed because I was tall I needed a 950g dourada. They didn’t even showed me the weight beforehand, to make sure whether I agreed or not with a close to 1 kg fish! I firstly asked for one person, they said 500g (I repeat) Don’t go there please !!! There are so many better places around and in Sesimbra( food / price ) we ended up in this awful customer service house that sells food (bcs I don’t call it a restaurant) with a rude manager ! These people forget: my 40€ dourada paid your salary, so treat clients kindly when they politely complain. LADROES!!! = ROBBERS!!!More
One of the best places to eat grilled fresh fish (e.g., Gilt-head bream, Red mullet, white seabream, sole and seabass).
Ordered the seafood rice, which was seafood crushed in rice we were spitting out more than we were eating as there was a lot of crushed shell bits in the food. Really bad experience
We had great fried cuttlefish ( choco frito) and lovely desserts.Very busy at lunch so go early to guarantee a table. Staff efficient and friendly.
If you care of family or friends avoid to go!!! I just don’t describe anything just because i’ll be shameless to be Portuguese, sure I’m not! We have plenty of fabulous restaurants... even at Setubal.
Every time we come to Setubal we always eat choco frito in Tasca da Fatinha. The sauce provided on the side is amazing. The beer and house wine is nice. I usually do not eat deserts but in this place I always get doce da...casa or baked apple. Much recommended!More
When we visit family in setubal it is a tradition to have some good fish dinners.tasca de Fatinha did not disappoint us. After choosing our fish they made sure it was the right selection by bringing to the table to confirm. Salmonettes was the fish...for 3 of the diners and they were grilled perfectly.sardines and salmon were the other chosen and 2 diners chose beef.only complaint was we had to remind the waiter to bring us salad, over all a good experience.More
With sun and 36 degrees celsius outdoors a table inside was a very good choice to taste a very good red mullet grilled perfectly served with cooked potatoes and mixed salad, white wine Dona Ermelinda and finally a slice of "quindim" and a black cofee
We made the serious mistake of asking for advice as for the fish we were going to eat. We walked outside to look at the fishes on display and ended up ordering a piece of Wreckfish (Cherne). After waiting for close to 50 minutes for...the food, the fish that was served was overcooked making it dry and hard to shew. But the best was yet to come, the fish we ordered was in the menu but with no price. We were charged 50. 40 euros for 840g of fish. That's 60 euros per kilo, keep in mind that Tiger prawn is priced at 65 euros per kilo. I leave this heads up to everyone, there are nicer restaurants around and where, hopefully, you don't get tricked this way.More
Tony, our host/guide, couldn't wait for us to try this place. I would think of chocolate and Frito brand corn chips every time we saw "choco frito" but the words are really deep fried cuttlefish (slightly larger than calimari). We ordered one choco frito, enguias...fritas (deep fried eel), a salad and wine, dessert and bill came to 52.45 euros. My husband preferred the eel; I preferred the choco, which was perfectly deep fried...dishes came with french fries. Our friend says the prices have gone up slightly since last summer. This place was not crowded at 11:45 but by 12:30, there was a line. Seating is both inside and outdoors under cover. There are restaurants on either side of this one and neither one was at all busy. One has only 3 tables of guests and the others 2...meanwhile, people waited to get in to Tasca da Fatinha. This restaurant has been here, oceanside, across from the fishing boat harbor, for many years.More
