We stumbled upon this restaurant on a small side street in the Bairro Alto district. We had just finished a walking food/wine tour, so we were looking for a light late evening meal. We were pleasantly greeted when we walked in, and the staff was...More

We had the chance to be twice at the restaurant and the second visit just confirm our first impression. From the outside there is nothing special but once inside, from the decor you start to have a hnt of the place. The walls are covered...More

Apparently historic restaurant, 3rd generation family owned. Ambience cold and old, owner tired, food bad at best - lost opportunities.

Farta brutos didn't impress anyhow. Everything was quite mediocre: The service, the food, the atmosphere, just everything. You will probably not be disappointed but neither positively surprised.

Average day to day food with regular service and expensive price. They try to offer special food but the food is very bland. Not worth the experience

What a delight! Terrific traditional food. The server was attentive and the owner very congenial. We enjoyed the Portuguese soup, Swordfish and the Pork. Cozy restaurant that’s been in the family for 3 generations.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and offers tasty food for a reasonable price. I choose the porks cheek from the daily menu. It was very tender and tasty. The waiter was very friendly.

Fish soup was very bland, thin, watery and little fish. Not good value for price. Water price was inflated. Will not return. Waitress was friendly.
