Nice dinner for the price. Was cheaper in the pass. But is very central in Bairro Alto, if you want to have a drink after.

The atmosphere, cleanliness and varied menu made us try this place. The food was ok and the wine outstanding. The service was excellent. I chose Mixed meats and was underwhelmed. Others chose a variety of food and thought it ok.

The food and service is good. Also eating at outside tables in beautiful weather is always a plus but paying £90 for two. That makes you regret the whole thing..

Hard to find. Recommended by a tour guide and he was right. The place was packed, clearly with locals. Nice choices for excellent fish and seafood, as well as meat--especially veal steaks. Huge portions! Extensive wine list. Reasonable prices for such quality and portions. Professional service.

Fish soup was very nice although served just warm so we sent it back to be heated. Grilled sardines were nice but I have had them several times now and I have lost patience with the whole process of stripping bone, scales and dried skin before eating - the bigger ones of course, small are fine bone and all. Speaking... More

Sat in a narrow street amongst other local restaurants, all of which seemed to have locals eating in them. The friendly waiter recommended rabbit stew which wasn't what we had in mind but we went with it and was not disappointed, it was great. Although full we fancied a sweet and went for pineapple in port wine, it was fantastic.... More

Overbearing, rude and condescending staff who act as if they are interested in their clientele but actually are mocking them and are just pushy. Noticed how several of the servers were making gestures at each other in response to the guests. Feel as though you're in a fish tank with sharks. Very average food for sky high prices. We went... Thanks to a previous review, we ignored the bread, cheese and sausage selections brought to the table and tucked into a shared starter of codfish cakes with lemon, followed by sharing a main of sardines with potato. We are not big eaters and this amount was perfect and extremely tasty, probably as good as any we've had in Portugal. Good... More

We were recommended Sinal Vermelho by our hotel, place was very busy and we were made very welcome , As soon as we were seated, waiter bought out bread, butter, cold meats and cheese and told us we would be charged for what we ate. We had the bread, 2 pods of butter and the meat. The food was beautiful... More
