Amazing Staff and Focused on Small Batch Ports and Cheese

The staff that works at the Lisbon Winery really makes it a great place to visit. I had booked a port tasting with credit card points and somehow the booking was not confirmed even though I had the voucher and a confirmation number. Alex focused on making our special and worried about payment later. She was so gracious in her attitude. We loved Lisbon Winery. They focus on supporting Portuguese businesses and all of their products are small batch from great little farms focused on producing high-quality products. We had a great time while there and highly recommend you check it out.

A great time for a Lisbon evening

My wife & I had a really enjoyable time at the Lisbon Winery's wine tasting a couple of evenings ago. The hostess was very friendly and knowledgeable, and quite accommodating when another member of our group had some dietary limitations. The food and wine were both interesting and delicious, high quality, complex, and diverse (but all Portuguese!). We would recommend this highly.

A “must do” wine experience in Lisbon!

What a treat in every respect! We’re on vacation from the US and couldn’t get to Porto but really wanted to get an education on port wines and couldn’t have found a better place. The two women owners who have created this unique and special location are Sommeliers who are so knowledgeable, passionate and engaging. After reviewing their website I decided to book their 6- Port Wine tasting. Candidly, up front it seemed a little pricey but they delivered on their promise and we walked out firmly believing this was truly a great value for the money! Amazing selection of white, tawny and ruby ports from small artisanal port producers, a fabulous EVOO tasting to start and an abundant and delicious selection of Portuguese charcuterie and cheeses. This wound up being dinner for us. One of the owners personally walked us through the different processes and each of the ports we tried - you couldn’t ask for more than that! This is a great destination for date night, for foodies and for anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience while in Lisbon. We highly recommend without reservation. P.S. try the 3p Tasting time slot - you won’t be sorry

Excellent Representation of Portuguese Wines

We originally booked this because it looked like an excellent way to sample different wines from Portugal. After booking the reservation I found out that Rick Steves recommends it. I can see why. The owners are very passionate about Portuguese wines and they have selected an excellent selection of wines for the wine tasting, that also comes with trays of Portuguese cheeses and meats. By Lisbon standards this place is very expensive, but if you are looking for a great selection of wines from all over Portugal this is a must. We tried another place the next night that our hotel recommended and we were disappointed. When we come back to Lisbon, this will be on our list of activities!!!

Favorite part of our trip to Lisbon

This was the best part of our trip to Lisbon. The staff went above and beyond, were super friendly, spoke great English, and tailored our tasting to our wine preferences. They were very informative and answered our questions. We learned so much about wine in Lisbon, and changed our perspective on Port wine (in a positive way). In addition the olive oil, cheeses, and meats they offered were local and super tasty. The wine the offered came from very unique and small wineries around Portugal. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys wine and wants to learn more about Portuguese wine and food.

Great Food & Wine Paring

Scheduled a food and wine tasting. We were not sure what we would get but everything was outstanding. The young lady doing the tasting for us asked what we liked given our previous knowledge of trying various Portuguese wine. She then proceeded to bring everything except what we had stated were our favorites. But everyone she brought was excellent and broadened our knowledge of some great regional wines. In addition the charcuterie plus aged ham provided were excellent. So after 2 hours plus we left full and slightly buzzed with a whole new appreciation on the wine regions of Portugal. Does not look like much on the outside but the inside is beautifully done.

An exceptionally nice, casual place to experience the wines of Portugal

We first went here as it was billed as a place to taste wines of Portugal and was not a long walk from our hotel. It turned out to be much more than just a tasting room. It was a nice, friendly restaurant that also served beer. The atmosphere is very unpretentious and it was apparent that it a favorite hangout for locals, as well as being a place where very formal wine tasting experiences are available. The proprietors are certainly very knowledgeable about their many wines. We loved it so much we went back a second time. On both occasions, it was surprisingly uncrowded. I can only imagine that it was because we were there in the off-season on weeknights. On the first evening, I did a flight, which came with a great oral description of each of the wines. We shared a cheese platter each time we were there. That also came with a nice oral description of the cheeses and their accoutrements. On the second evening, I simply indicated what type of wine I would like a glass of and was delighted with the choices that were made for me.

Amazing Port Tasting

Decided to try a Port tasting in Lisbon, after visiting Porto and doing tastings at a few houses in Vila Nova de Gaia. The Lisbon Winery works with the smaller family-run Port wineries that you will not find in Gaia. Alex, our sommelier, was extremely knowledgeable and we learned even more than we had at the Port tastings in Gaia. The 5 Ports were amazing and very different from anything we had tasted before. The accompanying charcuterie board with local cheeses and meats was incredible. While it might seem a little pricey, there was no need for dinner after a 5 pm tasting. It also included an olive oil tasting. We would highly recommend Lisbon Winery!

Port Tasting

Visited for a port tasting. This was a great experience, 5 ports to taste a variety of white and red accompanied with a sizeable charcuterie board with a delicious variety of meats and cheeses. Staff were informative and knowledgeable would definitely recommend this if you are are looking for a port tasting experience in Lisbon.

Fantastic start to our holiday

Our wine tasting at Lisbon Winery was a great way to spend the first evening of our city-break to Lisbon. We were treated to an enjoyable and informative experience, exploring lovely Portuguese wines. The cheeses and charcuterie that accompanied the wines both complemented the wines superbly and was a tasty meal. Whilst the wines and food were great, our fellow tasters added to the pleasure. It would be good if tasting notes could be provided for the wines sampled, otherwise a perfect start to the break. To emphasise how much we loved the experience, we returned to Lisbon Winery 4 days later for a second helping of cheese and charcuterie with 3 more beautiful wines. We will recommend and indeed have recommended the Lisbon Winery experience.

Outstanding wine tasting!

The Portuguese wine tasting was really good. The staff were informative, insightful and certainly helped us to understand a great deal more about Portuguese wines. There were certainly some surprises along the way, all of them positive! The venue was also really impressive. I’d highly recommend this, whatever your knowledge of wine. Definitely worth the money.

So much more than a Wine Tasting!

My husband and I reserved a spot for a wine tasting, but what we got was so much more. We tasted olive oils and wines, accompanied by a delicious charcuterie board. Adriana was a fabulous host and guide while we learned about Portugal and the various wine regions. She was engaging and entertaining, and created the perfect afternoon for us. This is absolutely a must do if you are in Lisbon!

Great wine knowledge very friendly staff

Great wine knowledge friendly staff. Haven’t been to Lisbon before and stumbled across this place on a very wet day. You explain what type of wine you typically drink and they they match this to a Portuguese wine. All were excellent and the port was amazing We had a cheese and meats selection which was also excellent I think this would be an amazing venue for a group tasting - we went twice and were remembered in the second visit and the wine choice was remembered too

Delicious and informative!

Excellent port tasting! We are total port novices but they tailored the experience to our level and we learned a lot. The port was all delicious. In addition, the olive oil, bread and very generous charcuterie board were also very tasty. The pumpkin jam they included was tremendous. Would definitely recommend this experience. The neighborhood that surrounds it also seems very quaint and more residential, making this an excellent opportunity to get out of the main touristy sections of the city.

Fantastic Wine Tasting experience

We had a wonderful 2 hours here sampling 4 fabulous wines and 1 port. Our sommelier was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly, and made the experience very special. The charcuterie board of cheeses and meats went with the wine so well. A wonderful experience.
