I was very impressed with this place. Firstly, I love how it's a house converted into a restaurant. Secondly, was greeted by very friendly staff (perhaps the owners as well). I was offered Champagne (Wow) as we head to our table. I was in awe looking around at all the couches and typewriters and books throughout. The dining area was... More

Came here on a recommendation and was not disappointed. Food was interesting and different in the best sense. Waitress, who was lovely, recommended excellent wine. As a solo female diner I was made very welcome. A great place with superb, imaginative food.

Yes, there's BA Wine Bar, and Belcanto - both delightful and delicious (as well as pricey!) but in my opinion, Clube de Jornalistas is the best. Located in an old house, the various rooms have been converted into dining spaces - homey and charming - CdJ feels entirely welcoming to a solo female traveler. I have never had a bad... More

What a great dinner. Nice and cosy 18 or 19 century tilled house with different rooms. The service was attentive and excellent. The food was excellent. Risotto and black pig extremely well made . To end up, a sort of sweet deserts. Surely to come back.

We were looking for some nice place in Lisbon to have a chill lunch and it was absolutely perfect. Good wine, good service and prices weren't high.

There's always part of me wonders if return visits promise much but deliver little. Well we were not disappointed on a Tuesday evening booking early in the new year. Apart from the fact we couldn't dine all fresco, it being winter, it was all stunning. Brilliant food, excellent service even though the outgoing American Ambassador was hosting a farewell do.... Went on a Friday for lunch. Lovely setting with beautiful tiled rooms. All in all very elegant. Relatively small lunch menu but everything we had was exceptional, Lovely couvert of exceptional breads, carrot and chorizo spread and corn foam soup sort of thing. Main courses were roast black pork with beans and a ground lamb dish with couscous, cauliflower and... More

Another great restaurant hidden away in the side streets of Lisbon. A series of shabby chic rooms with lots of atmospher. The most interesting menu offered in our time in Lisbon . The food was uncomplicated nicely presented using seasonal local ingredients. Excellent friendly service.
