About
When it was built, LX Factory was a textile factory. At the beginning of the 20th Century, that business gave way to an industrial press factory. In either case, hundreds of workers would work and live in the LX Factory limits. Where Rio Maravilha is located used to be their break room. Today, and keeping with that spirit, it's a gastropub that pays tribute to two "rivers" - Rio Tejo (Tagus River) and Rio de Janeiro (Brasil). The closeness Portugal has with its brother country, Brasil, makes this homage all the more special. With a bar that offers an extensive choice of signature cocktails, beers and wines, the restaurant has an inspired menu of fused Portuguese and Brazilian recipes and ingredients.

The restaurant is located at the fourth floor in a building part of the LX Factory. It is simply wonderful, cosy and well decorated. Do not miss the chance to have a look at the rooftop: the view from there is spectacular!

The view is definitely the best part of the place. It’s a really fun bar with young people drinking and chilling. I would recommend going for the sunset to have a beautiful view of the brigde and the city.

Rio Maravilha is on the top floor of the factory building closest to the river. You have to take this old time elevator up to the restaurant. I really think that it is more bar than restaurant. We got off the elevator and then we...More

The last door on the LX factory run, take the lift to the top floor (it’s a lot of stairs!) for views across the river at the end of the day. The wait at the bar is pretty long so we ended up buying 2...More

Great spot for drinks!! Really nice Mojito and the rooftop seating is lovely. We got a small sample of beer to taste when we were trying to decide on what beer to get which was a nice touch. We didn't eat here so can't really...More

The view is unexpected: second floor of a renewed building of LX Factory, a terrace close to the famous bridge. As often now in Lisbon, there is an effort for a more creative kitchen. Sometimes it's perfect, other times not so - dressing too salty...More
