Unfortunately ended up here on first night in Lisbon after failing to get into another restaurant. Its a horrible place - waiters pushing needless 'first courses' at year. I had an absolutely disgusting fish and pepper stew - over cooked, over salted and a very rough glass of red wine and for this unpleasantness we paid 30 euros a head.... More

Trust me, choose another restaurant in the area. The service is so terrible that it is not worth the try. The chief of waiters (the one with fat belly and hair on side) spoke to us like dogs, he moved us from one table to another without apologizing, we wait ages for our dishes... We went to other restaurants in... More

Good food, friendly staff, a bit pricey for this kind of place and quality. A little bit of a tourostish kind of place. Careful with the couvert

Tipical Portuguese cuisine, good prices, very good wine chart. In the heart of Bairro Alto. See the pictures.

We had our first restaurant meal in Portugal in Alfaia. It was a great and welcoming experience. The waiters were friendly and made sure to explain that the couverts they place on the table (bread, cheeses, ham, olives) are optional (paid!) additions to the meal. The food was very appetizing. After the meal we were surprised with a complimentary taste... More

The restaurant is in a touristy area, so always quite busy. The food is good but not spectacular and the service is friendly Maybe a bit expensive in relation to the quality

We walked into the place as it looked really popular and was in an area we'd been recommended to eat! They try to shove a load of starters on you and although they warn you you have to pay I don't like that they put everything out. What a waste! The food we ordered was OK. A bit salty and... More

Nice variety of dishes, above all fish but also meat. Good service BUT be carefull with cheeses and olives they always serve you as starters, if you tried all them (even if just a bite of each one) they'll charge you 21€ only for it (they mention it in advanced, but you do not see the rates until bill comes...).

Never more. They try to sell you cheese and ham pretending it's an appetizer given for kindness. They serve old food and parboiled rice. Avoid at all

Ended up here as it was 3.30 pm and the only place around open. They served Hamburger which consisted of meat and melted cheese which my son would not eat. I tried to explain that a hamburger should come with bread but the waiter insisted that inPortugal hamburgers come without bread. We also ordered Portuguese style hamburger which was served... More
