Had breakfast here this morning and the food was outstanding as was the service, so we decided to return for dinner. Again the food was delicious. All of the staff were so friendly and knowledgeable about the food. Will definitely return.

Delightful restaurant attached to a very posh hotel set high atop the charming neighborhood of Alfama. We loved the decor with its checkered table clothes and bold wallpaper that is just so lovely. We started with the 1) cream of vegetable soup **** €4,00, 2) bread, olive, pate plates **** €4.50, 3)We had two Peixe do Dia or Fish of the day ***** € 18,00 x2. I had delicious Bream fish. Of course our meal was accompanied by mineral water and fantastic and inexpensive Portuguese wine- Papa Figos Tinto Copo. We liked this restaurant a lot and were really impressed by the food, decor , and friendly English speaking staff.

Very lovely ambiance. The music was great and it gave an overall lowkey “hidden gem” vibe. Also the €20 deal is great; you get a starter, main dish, wine, mineral water, and tea/espresso! It’s sounds too good to be true but it’s not. It literally comes out to 20 euros flat!

While the service is friendly and prompt (admittedly on a slow day), the food is straight out of any tourist zone in any number of cities -but like the background muzak, time warped from the millennium. There’s nothing authentically Portuguese, instead it’s anonymous cuisine from anywhere and nowhere. Pasta - of a style you taught your teenage children to make before they left home. You won’t starve eating it but you’ll wonder why you paid so much for lumps of carrot among your overcooked pasta. Seriously - diced carrot with pasta, in Portugal? It’s not the financial cost, it’s the opportunity cost of knowing you could have had something far better if you had only known better. The fact that this is the restaurant within an expensive boutique hotel does the hotel no favours. There are numerous places to eat in Lisbon that are better and for less. Perhaps you may want to travel further than the Alfalma to eat after visiting.

Dear TheDecameron, We are happy you enjoyed our atmosphere, service and music. Thank you very much for your opinion/review as we are always trying to better ourselves Our menu does include a vast amount of traditional Portuguese dishes, such as our clams/prawns/ Sea Bass/ Sea Bream/Octopus/Pica - Pau/ Codfish etc. etc. We feel strongly that our menu should also provide dishes for Vegetarians and Vegans. The dish you chose is a Vegan pasta dish which is served with roasted oven vegetables (which does includes carrots) and is very popular amongst our Vegetarian guests. If you´re still in Lisbon please get in touch with me so we can invite you around to try one of our more traditional dishes. Thank you Warm regards Andrea

Found this amazing place after some trouble with Google map. Fantastic homemade cakes, divine jasmin tea, delicious cheese with bread and olive oil snack and coffe that makes you chill for couple of hours. All together with hospitable and lovely stuff and excellent music choice will make you wish you come back again! 💓

Staying at the Santiago da Alfama Hotel for 5 nights, we had the pleasure of experiencing Audrey's excellent food several times over. Breakfasts daily, were varied and delicious, freshly prepared and with a good range of choices, from sweet to healthy to truly indulgent. The breakfast bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese and scrambled eggs on the side, is a must! A light lunch and dinner were also delicious and we also ordered room service from them. There is indoor and outdoor seating and it was lovely to sit outside on a crisp winter’s day, with heaters and blankets if we wanted. Service is excellent and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Andrea, the manager, is very hands-on, pro-active and highly entertaining. A chat with her, at any time of the day or evening, always made it all the more enjoyable. We will be back.

While staying in the Santiago de Alfama Boutique Hotel we ate breakfast at Audrey's throughout our stay as well as enjoying dinners here on multiple evenings. The restaurant is stunning and the waitstaff very pleasant. The food was just fantastic for any meal we enjoyed here. After trying some other locations out around the hotel we ended up coming back here for a meal as the other places just didn't hold up to Audrey's standard.

We are so happy to choosing Audrey’s for a lunch after a long walk in Lisbon! Place is extraordinary. Food is delicious and portions are generous, service is impeccable and on top it is super cosy and welcoming. Don’t pass by, seriously, it is a hidden gem!

My friends and I got up to watch the sunrise, this was 100m away and the only place that was open. So thankful we found it. The food was great, service even greater. My friend ordered banana pancakes and so the waitress put on the song Banana Pancakes by Jack Johnson. Great times.

We were staying in the adjoining hotel, Santiago de Alfama, and had not planned to eat here as much as we did. But the food was very pure, fresh and beautifully presented. Standouts include the fresh fish, charcuterie plate and everything on the breakfast menu. You must try the Shakshuka which includes fresh produce from the hotel owners' farm. Delicious! Be sure to have a reservation if you want to sit outside on the terrace in this historic district. As they save many tables for hotel guests, you might find it impossible to get a seat on a pleasant night without one, especially on a weekend. All of the servers were very warm and knowledgeable about the food and readily moved in to back up each other if any of them got behind. Wine list offered plenty of options at reasonable prices too. One or both of the owners is/are always there and make it a point to check on each table. i can't remember the last time we had service as personalized as this. Thanks!

We had our best meal in Lisbon here one morning! We had three adults and three children and our waitress Kusum could not have been more friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and even though we ordered a lot I don't think there was anything left at the end. The restaurant is charming and the food delicious. We very highly recommend this restaurant!

Went there because of the outstanding reviews. There were no other guests at the beginning, but ok... it was a Wednesday evening. Ordered some starters, the rice with seafood and the catch of the day. Starters were really nice and tasty, an assortment of local cheese and ham with yummy fresh figs and olive pesto. But the main course was just plain and nothing special. Tomato rice with some seafood in it, grilled fish as a whole (no one offered to fillet it) with potatoes and some leaves of salad. Simple and no seasoning. You would expect something better from a restaurant in a five star hotel. Had an espresso after dinner and a bottle of vinho verde with it. Everything was „ok“, we ate up but it was nothing to be remembered. One point extra for the nice little terrace in a quiet and very picturesque street but we would never recommend the restaurant. Maybe we just went there on the wrong evening but there are plenty of other really cosy places in Lisbon when you stroll the streets around Castelo de S. Jorge.

We spent a week in Lisbon and most mornings we made our own breakfast. We thought we would treat ourselves with a breakfast at Audrey’s since it was just around the corner from where we were staying. The place is beautiful and the servers were very friendly but the breakfast was way overpriced for what you got. We ordered our food and because the waiter felt like we didn’t need any of the jams/honeys that were on the table, he took them away like we were going to take them with us or something. We ordered a couple espressos and they were cold. I should have sent them back so that’s on me. We asked for 2 tap waters and we were told they can’t serve tap water. This was the first restaurant in a weeks stay that told us that. Funny since it was the most expensive that we visited. They brought us a very small bottle of water for €1.80. Normally I’d be ok with that but the bottle wasn’t a new bottle because the lid had been opened already. Seems like you’re filling up bottles with tap water and selling them. I go to use the toilet and see in the lobby a couple of large water vessels that state “hotel guests only”. Looks like that was tap water that you were serving to your hotel guests. Very disappointed.

The food was very tasty, even though the prices are quite high. The staff was by far the best, as they were very friendly. Just in the end we were quite surprised they added 9 euros of optional payment to the bill as a contribution to the staffs work. Perhaps they thought we were not Portuguese people, but still it was a very high value to assume we wanted to pay when the restaurant was already expensive. Would be better to just let people tip as they wish.

Had a great night! The restaurant is only 1 minute from a beautiful "miradouro" (lookout point) and we had an amazing steak and apple crumble. All of the staff spoke perfect English and were very friendly and looked after us. Ask for Anfar's special tea! It's a must-try and he's a treasure.
