Wow. We just returned to the US from our two week honeymoon in Portugal, and while we had tons of great food, A Cevicheria is the meal we’ve talked about the most. The dishes are inspired, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The pisco sours are...crisp and refreshing. The space is vibrant and energetic. The service is attentive while being fun and personable. And the prices are very reasonable. Can’t recommend enough!More

On another late afternoon, we happened upon A Cevicheria, a fantastic restaurant while visiting the neighbourhood of Príncipe Real.  There was of course a line outside, but we were asked if we would like to have a drink while waiting for a table.  They served...us a frothy Pisco Sour and it was frankly the best drink I’ve tasted in a long time.   Lucky for us, it only took a few minutes and we were seated at our table on their terrace.   This is a very popular Peruvian restaurant opened by the chef Kiko Martins in 2014.  There are two sections, inside, which is has brightly white-tiled walls and a fantastic giant octopus suspended from the ceiling above a handful of tables and seating around a horseshoe-shaped bar.  The second space is the outside busy terrace, perfect for people watching.  The menu is mostly ceviches and causas, smaller dishes to share, including an excellent barbecued roast octopus with black mashed potatoes. We ordered the ceviche puro of white fish and shrimp, in lime juice with red onion, tiger’s milk and rich dollops of mashed sweet potato crowned with sweet-potato chips.   We also had the mini tuna tacos covered in a soy, sesame, ginger, togarashi and Tobiko sauce and a bottle of vinho verde. Both dishes were divine, however, it was not cheap, but definitely well worth the price.More

This is a great spot! Great friendly service. Tasty and unique dishes!! They don’t take reservations so I would recommend going early. As there are not many tables inside. They do offer patio seating but the menu is a bit restricted on the patio.

We were greeted by the most lovely Manuella who had the smile of the Sun. Please be warned the place is small so you need to pre-book if you do go without booking you may have to wait it is that good . The food...definitely should be awarded but sadly due to the size it will never happen but the food in my opinion is better than some Michelin star restaurants. Professional, there was a great atmosphere and really do care but it is busy . The quality of the food will not be compromised due to how busy they get because Keogh is the person needs to insure every dish is quality controlled . An absolute professional . If I were to die and go to heaven, there would be a cevichera like this.More

When ordering a tasting menu at a restaurant named for Ceviche, one expects only seafood. The first of five courses was Wagyu Tartare…had we known before it was served, we would have refused as we are pescatarian. Dishes 2 and 3 were sublime, all the...reviews are true. Had all 5 courses been ceviche, we would have raved. Dish four was served with a delay, as it was shift change; the plate was no longer warm and the octopus was over cooked. We enjoyed our visit, nice pisco sours, house white wine. The port we were upsold during course 1 as the waiter was leaving his shift. They poured it, and put it to the side for an hour. Brought after our dessert was completed, plus one fruit fly. The biggest complaint was the shift change prep chef with the waxed curled moustache; he’d prep food onto plates, touch his personal cell phone, then touch delicate items on to the plate, then bAck to his cell phone. He’s not aware he’s doing it, no hand washing. Phones shouldn’t be allowed while working with food.More

Not your typical Portuguese meal, but an awesome Peruvian-fusion tasting experience. Each dish was made with a complex understanding of mouthwatering flavors and textures. We ordered a la carte, but are certain that the tasting menu is equally excellent. Highlights included the tuna and foie...gras ceviche, bacon wrapped scallops with grilled baby corn and the white chocolate mousse dessert. You must begin with their signature pisco sour cocktail! Since they don’t take reservations, be prepared to wait…but it’s worth it! Final shout out to the friendly waiter Gabriel for taking good care of us!More

Christ on a bike this place is incredible. We opted for the tasting menu and were not disappointed. The pisco sours were lethally gorgeous and only outdone in their tartness by the fragrant and sassy waiters (FABULOUS). Would go again in a jiffy.

I had read about A cevicheria and chef Kiko and was super excited to eat here when I visited Lisbon. And wow what a disappointment. It was the worst causa I have ever eaten, the ceviche had hardly any seafood in it and was very...expensive. The staff seemed like they did not want to be there, made us feel like we weren't cool enough to be in the restaurant and were working extremely slowly. We waited a very long time for our dishes to come out. I honestly think the causa was forgotten as it took nearly 90 minutes and asking a few times for it to come out, only to be underwhelming. And the staff had the audacity to pre load a tip into the payment terminal after such terrible food and service! Don't waste your time and money coming here. I really do not understand the hype about this place, when there are so many insanely delicious places to eat in Lisbon that are also much cheaper.More

As no reservations can be made, we bridged the waiting time with some pisco sours, which are expertly made with the customers being able to watch. Unfortunately, the tasting menu can only be booked by the whole table, therefore we settled for single courses of...ceviche, tacos and potato purée with pulpo. Everything was excellent, but the latter hot dish and the tacos with tuna belly stand out as extraordinary. Do not miss the desserts - we tried all and they left a lasting impression. Good wine available. Be prepared to spend a lot, it is quite pricey.More

Most delicious food & drinks. Staff are lovely. Open when a lot of restaurants are closed during siesta. I would eat here every day if I could.

The decoration is nice , the food tastes too sour and salty. We have been to many cerviche restaurants. This one the worst. The waitress add 14% on the bill for the tip in Lisbon. I don’t want to discuss over that amount but it’s...not right to add like that.More

Unfortunately, this was the WORST dining experience of our girlfriends’ holiday in Portugal. Immediately following dinner, those of us who ate the Ceviche Puro all came down with food poisoning and spent our last night in Lisbon violently ill. I did reach out to the...restaurant to let them know, but did not receive a response. Food and service were just average. Portions were super small. Our ceviche had a very small amount of fish; it was mostly other ingredients. We watched them scoop the tuna for tuna tacos out of a container from the fridge (not fresh!). Even without the food poisoning experience factored in, I would not return to A Cevicheria.More

For the price, the food quality was just ok. The service was stuffy and uptight. You can do a lot better in Lisbon. I would not recommend.
