Give this place a miss, patrons. I went here 4 years ago, and had a great time. How things have changed. Clearly the hype has gone to the collective heads of management and staff. Went for lunch around 15.00 on a Saturday, and enquired of...the staff how long the wait would be, only to be aggressively told that it would be 45 minutes, twice, in case the stupid customer didn't hear the first time, with an attitude that so clearly spoke of "take it or leave it" that it was a joke. Didn't even bother going in after that, and will never go back. Pity.More

Enjoyed great service, drinks (pisco sour and red wine) and outdoor seating for happy hour leading into dinner. Service was outstanding both while waiting for a table (which can take awhile since they DO NOT take reservations), order drinks at the window while waiting. This...is not one of the cheaper eating and drinking establishments in Lisbon but still worth the cost. We spent 350€ for two couples with two bottles of wine a 8 pisco sours!More

We stopped in mid-afternoon and were able to get two seats inside at the counter. It’s a small but modern space with delicious tuna belly tartare (tacos) and fresh ceviche (we got the “Portuguese Ceviche”). The Pisco Sour was a refreshing cocktail. Everything was fresh...and flavorful while the staff friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!More

Ceviche a la portuguesa is not a real ceviche, it wasn’t good. The toilettes were very dirty. The pizco sour was very good.and yes we had to wait a long time to be seated.More

I don't understand why this place has such high reviews. I got the tasting menu, 5 courses plus a dessert. Most of the dishes were extremely salty. I love the idea of combining different flavors, but the salt was overpowering so I couldn't taste much...else. Unfortunately, I didn't finish my food.More

The food was amazing! Nothing to say. But the service… 2 hours wait, absolutely unfriendly and zero smile, very arrogant and no sense of customer relation, zero organisation. We surprised ourselves to have waited for so long… And very very expensive. Never again in these...conditions.More

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE waited 45 minutes for a table. The host (the chef ) was rude. Waited 30 minutes to get the bread- which we asked for, since they never offered- and another 20 minutes for the food. First plate. Only. Waited another hour to get...all the rest (after ordering more bread to fill the stomach). So yes. The food is great. But it’s not always and only about the food.More

The food was really tasty and fresh and the drinks were good. Our waitress was lovely but it didn't feel like any of the staff had enough time to be attentive. We found ourselves having to try to get their attention to order throughout the...meal. We had to wait for a table but it didn't take too long. The system to put your name down for a table wasn't clear so we ended up waiting in what we thought was a queue to do this for a while. While the food was really good and imaginative, the meal was expensive especially given the overall experience.More

I was really looking forward to dinner in this restaurant. As I was dining on my own I was seated at the bar right away, which was great, as I know there can be a long wait. In short the ceviche is good - the...tacos were ok (the only fish on offer when I was there was tuna, which I'm not really that keen on), but no way up to Peruvian standards. The worst thing was the noise. I'm not talking about the customers, as there's no way the restaurant can control that, but the noise that the kitchen and bar staff make (slamming dishes, etc). No one seems to have the delicacy needed for moving around in what is a very small space. The waitress bumped into my chair around 3 times as I was eating. None of it made for a relaxing or pleasant experience. It's very expensive for the level of service and food offered. I didn't really get the impression that they care much about people dining there. Pretty disappointing.More

From the atmosphere to the impeccably-balanced dishes, everything about A Cevicheria is a resounding win. The staff are among the nicest you'll meet and they really know their stuff. If you're travelling as a couple, we'd recommend getting one tasting menu to share, along with...a couple of other dishes that catch your fancy (we went for the tuna and beef tartare tacos). A pisco sour (or three) is also a must!More

A very special place: creative interpretation of ceviche with a touch of Portugese to the Peruvian ceviche staple. Small place. Expect wait time if you come during busy time.

The place is small, simple, cosy, and even a bit crowdy. We had 4 dishes and all of them were excellent and very tasty. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit, in spite of the fact you may wait outside over one hour. No reservation...option. We heard that if you arrive a few minutes before noon, you may enter without standing in line. A must . PointMore
