We had dinner and found Bota to be reasonably priced, friendly and helpful but the food was average. The pitcher of house wine was very good and the cost was $4. The fries were good but the meat was over cooked.

I was with my girlfriend. We have been waiting for 30 min before we could sit. Anyway dishes were enjoyable but too much time waiting to sit, order, and eat. At the end, they gave us the wrong list which belongs to another table. Prices are quite good, but in LisboA you can easily have a meal with less.

We checked the Tripadvisor and saw this restaurant has good reviews and many visitors so we gave it a try. Little did we know that we made a big mistake and most customers were tourists. First of all the restaurant is quite small but they pack too many tables in one room so you can hardly move. The staff is... More

We were there early, it was quiet and had no wait, Their house red wine in a pitcher did not disappoint. The service was friendly, but was like a tag team without a captain. The place was dark and subdued, more of an old taverna setting with tables squeezed in randomly. The food was basic traditional comfort food with oversized... More

We passed by and the restaurant looked inviting with its checkered tablecloths. The tables are squeezed in tightly and the waiters have to be acrobatic if they want to reach the tables. The food was good, service nice. Toilet clean and well maintained. It was just too full and loud for my taste.

The service was a mixed bag, as three waiters were attending our table and each had a different approach. As a result we didn't really feel looked after as much as maybe in other restaurants where you have one waiter per table, taking the time to explain the local wines and dishes. The house white was very average and for... More

This restaurant was recommened by our hotel and from the outside it looked a cosy, welcoming place. The interior was a bit cramped but the staff were friendly and the closeness of the tables added to the atmosphere, however the food was very disappointing. The sea bream was overcooked and greasy and the pork spare ribs were chewy and over... More

As me and my friends visit a "typical portuguese" restaurant, we get disappointed. The food (veggies AND meat) was out of the can. It tasted terrible and was not enjoyable. The critique was not taken seriously and we were made fun of. My personal review: please avoid this place.

Dropped in here for some dinner on the recommendation of a local friend. It didn't disappoint. Really small quant restaurant that serves local simple delicious food. Really affordable. I got there at 19:30. By the time I left at 21:00 there was a queue outside. Well worth a visit.
