My wife and I had dinner with a Brazilian couple. Nice setting in one of Lisbon old boroughs. However the restaurant was full and awfully noisy. This restaurant was recommended as having excellent food. The food in fact was far from being excellent. The cod fish was not enough cooked, the lamb chops were tasteless as well as the scallops... Set in a centuries old convent, this superb restaurant never fails to impress me. I have dined here 5-times over the years on my trips to Lisbon and it remains excellent. Even better when the weather is warmer and tables are set-up in the central courtyard. The food is a mix of seafood and meats with game meats available. Last... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by a patron at the same hotel. He went on and on about how great the food was and how many different appetizer courses there were that were delicious. He was right about the number of appetizers. We ate most of the appetizers but were warned by someone else to save room for the... More

Mesmerised by these beautiful surroundings; the Restaurant is housed in a Convent from the 17th Century. The buildings survived the Earthquake in mid 18th Century and was abandoned on a number of occasions. Now, the door in the wall (above which hangs the washing-lines we spotted everywhere) opens and we are welcomed in to this lovely space. The Restaurant has... More

On our annual photography weekend we are here with three good friends. Unbeknownst to me when I booked it was first on the list of restaurants recommended by the Daily Telegraph. I can see why. The 12 small plate starters were just fantastic. I even ate my first oyster, which is something I thought I'd die before I did. My... More

Tucked away in a small back street you'd miss it if you blink ,A Travessa restaurant, is an absolute gem. 6 off us booked at short notice and we were unsure what to expect. From the very start to our departure the whole experience was a joy. Staff could not be more helpful and the attention to detail left its... More

A very exquisite restaurant. Inside an old convent, with an special atmosphere the food is soberb. A very recommended place to come with a special partner and have dinner with a bottle of good wine will be a unique experience. Memorable one, for sure. The waiters are kind and serve with perfection.

Outstanding in every respect! Wonderful people, great food, very nice room, cozy but comfortable. The starters were excellent, and the main dishes simply wonderful. The red wines and white port, coupled with very tasty dishes and desserts, a great place to entertain clients!

Took a group here as part of a weekend in Lisbon. Incredible food, great tasters as starter. We were treated like royalty. Mocktails were amazing, I am told the cocktails were too. The staff even came over to see my party trick 😂
