We spent one night for dinner and had the Pizza “Figue” and “Porcini”. Well, tastes are different and some people were very negative about the thin pizza dough, but we really liked this style. It was tasty and delicious. Even with the BIO-tag on it, the prices are a little too high.
Anyway, a great place to go.

Great glutenfree and vegetarian options. It isn’t that often that you get glurenfree pizza made like this with no shortcuts. Me and my sister have celiacs disease and could have pizza here which made us so happy. The service was nice but the pizzas were brought to the table at different times which was a small minus. They also had only a few options of soda in the cold which was a bit disappointing. Overall the experience was great and I am always over the moon if I can have pizza as a vegetarian with celiacs disease.

The best Gluten free pizza you will ever find, it had a base I actually enjoyed eating helped by the fact it was covered with lovely fresh ingredients. Even better as I could wash it down with a gluten free pilsner and then enjoy a gluten free tiramisu for dessert, wonderful friendly service and the surrounding area is great too! 10/10
Officially you need to let them know you’d like a gluten free base before 6.30 pm for the same evening, we didn’t and it was fine as they weren’t fully booked

Having given this joint a miss on previous visits to Lisbon due to its astronomical prices, one night I gave in to my craving for pizza (and my preference for all kinds organic) and decided to give In Bocca al Lupo a try. As I was hungry, I ordered a starter of ‘courgette carpaccio’. What I was served were slices of courgette up to 2mm thick, drizzled with a bit of lemon juice (perhaps there was also a drop or two of olive oil, certainly not enough to lift the relatively flavourless raw veg). The response to my suggestion to use a peeler and slice the courgette lengthwise was ‘oh yeah we tried that but it didn’t work...’ IT didn’t work, or did THEY perhaps not know what they were doing?!
Then one of the special pizze of the day, with mozzarella and ‘grilled tomatoes’. Some of those toms were grilled, others were not. Hmm. My main criticism, however, is that the toppings and base don’t come together as they should with an ideal pizza. The thing is more like a flakey flat bread with stuff thrown on top, very disappointing indeed. (It is quite ironic that Cafe Teheran a few meters away at Praça das Flores serve an excellent focaccia!)

I'm really sad that you didn't like our food! It's made with excellent quality (and all organic) products, expertise and love. I'm the owner and chef and that day I was cooking myself. The carpaccio is a very subtle starter and is intencionally done the way it is but of course we are always interested in hearing out our client suggestions. Al Lupo is a delicious Pizza with Buffalo Mozzarella and 24 month Parmigiano Reggiano base, topped with both grilled tomato and fresh cherry tomatoes on purpose! ;)
Teheran's Focaccia is good indeed. But our are thin, crusty Pizzas, not meant to be bread like. I'm sorry if it is not your kind of Pizza.
Concerning our prices we are an organic, sustainable, socially commited project. We work directly with our producers, pay fair prices, fair wages, we use only ecological products... plus, like many other projects, we now fight to survive. Please bear that in mind, next time you devote a harsh critic to a fair business. Thank you. Ágata Mandillo

It's amazing that anyone would rave about this restaurant! Extremely expensive for Lisbon, and pizzas that no Italian would deem edible. The crust is simply terrible: so dry, almost like a cracker, with no flavor whatsoever. The ingredients are not bad, but they skimp on everything: four pieces of zucchini on a pizza (so sad!), 6 euro extra for 3 pieces of prosciutto; barely any cheese to cover the pizza. The zucchini carpaccio was swimming in vinegar and looked so unappetizing. Haven't been so disappointed by a restaurant in a long time. The service is friendly, yet inefficient.
Would not recommend this place at all if you know what pizza should taste like!

Such an unfair review. I'm the owner and pizzaiola, we cook with honesty an love and I'm really sorry that you came in to project your negativity brought from somewhere else to a familial, authentic and delicious all handmade place like ours! You asked for an Affumicatta with homemade smoked buffalla mozzarella - a white thin crust Pizza with 150g of fresh smoked cheese on top, 6 slices of grilled zucchini and a huge carciofino sott'olio on top opened like a flower, plus 4 slices of an extra 35g of organic (because here it's everything organic) thin fine Parma Prosciutto. In the end I'm just really sorry that we couldn't contribute for a happy and fulfilling moment.

Higene issues
would recommend the pizza very thin crust and nice flavor. And the service from the waitress very good. Sadly we did have a bad experience about sanitary issues and in that matter everyone can learn but for me it’s just a buzz killer. Hope you go and have no problems. Family restaurant.

We spent 5 nights in Lisbon and at at In Bocca al Lupo twice. The pizzas were amazing and so were all of the other dishes as well. My wife had the pasta with dried tuna and it was so good.
When we walked in at 7:00 pm, without a reservation, they were totally booked, but said that if we could be done by 8:30 pm they could serve us. That was plenty of time for us and we were so glad that we did it!
If you get a chance, go eat there!

Nice restaurant, but nothing special. Good location, but impossible to park. Friendly atmosphere. Friendly service. Very expensive for what it serves. I shared with two friends, two simple pizzas, a lettuce salad, a cover charge, a bottle of wine, a juice, two coffees and 4 limoncellos. We paid €35 per person. The question is: everything was fine, but nothing exceeded expectations and nothing justifies these values in Portugal.
Quality / price - there are much better places.

We were a group of people excited for good pizza. However, we had to wait 1 hour for our drinks and 1 hour and 40 minutes to get our food. They did not apologise once and we felt ignored the entire time. The pizza was ok, but expensive.

chef uses rolling machine to make pizza as thin as possible.. like eating a water biscuit or matza.cracker so, the base has no taste, or volume or depth.
Toppings Ok - but BIO?
A trip to naples would show how it should be done. A pity, as the concept of organic is good - but what was organic? Very expensive and disappointing as we were in lisbon only for 2 nights.
we paid and complained and left...

We visited this restaurant for a casual meal after a days sightseeing.
We had booked a table earlier in the day and glad we did because it was busy.
Great choice of authentic pizzas and decent wine and well worth a visit!

I came back twice in a week after having dinner at Bocca al Lupo. Excellent Pizza, good light dough and rich tomato sauce. All ingredients are organic and local. The space of the restaurant feels very cozy! The staff is friendly and passionate. A fair prize for excellent dinner experience. I would definitely recommend!

Good thin pizza. Large airy room at the back. With two starters, wine, water and a soft drink it came in at just over £20 a head which is excellent value.
