We went to this place through the suggestion of our B&B hosts, and we absolutely LOVED it! We were so fortunate to have the father serve us dinner and we felt like we were sitting in his living room. This man is so warm, so...More

We went there for a late lunch and were amazed by the quality and taste of the food. It's very affordable and the 'espetada' was delicious, as was the grilled fish. The atmosphere is homely and staff were very welcoming. We would recommend it to...More

By chance we came across this restaurant after visiting the market. As we saw a lot of locals in there, we decided to have a meal. If you are interested in authentic food, big portions, and easy athmosphere, you are in the right place. This...More

At first sight it is similar to many other places in Alfama, but quality and taste of the traditional Portuguese food they make is well above average, and it's quite cheap. The owner is a typical northern Portuguese guy, always in a good mood. For...More

A gem especially on saturday: flea market days. We sat in the corridor which becomes an extension of the restaurant on busy days. Get the whipped cream dessert with the broken cookie/cake mixed in!

We have been in Portugal for 9 days, eaten in many restaurants both fancy and simple. This is the real deal. Full of locals, the tables are shared. Our meal-squash and spinach soup, broiled cod with onions and potato, octopus and rice, three beers, bread...More

Just round the corner from my accommodation so had to pay a visit! Very unimposing, low key place. The proprietor speaks enough English to translate the menu. I had grilled Dourada, which was served with a good-sized portion of delicious waxy boiled potatoes and a...More

Graca & Sao Vicente
You can be thankful that most common travel guides
don't mention Graça and São Vicente that often. Part
of Lisbon's historic center and "Old Town", they feel
like independent villages in the capital's center, and
more untouched than Alfama. Amazing views, restaurants
and parks, as well as important monuments like the S.
Vicente Church and the National Pantheon, make this a
spectacular option for those looking for a more
