Following the local people and the ratings we decided to have a lunch here. A sandwich with meat and mustard was one of the best things we've had during our two week'stay in Portugal. Prices great. Cash only.

Late lunch. Cold cod cake was nice but the pork sandwich was nothing special. Cheap prices. Very local and informal. Serves green wine - a local specialty which was nice to try.

Staff seemed to serve their friends first and foreigners second. Unbelievably rude manner and food was nothing special at all! So many better options nearby!

Place is very well located, but a trap! Rude staff and not worth it... Overcharged if you are a foreigner... had to complain.

Great bifanas, very popular with locals and super cheap. Small beer €1 Typical Portuguese bar. If you can get a table outside even better!

Nice Bifana and quite busy with locals. But in my honest opinion 'As Bifanas do Afonso' is the one to go if you truly want the best Bifana in Lisbon.

Offers the best codfish (bakalhau) and shrimp pastry. However it is a very busy and small place that gets crowded easily.

It doesn’t get much more authentic, “old school” Lisbon than this packed little place at a corner of Praca Luis de Camoes (Luis de Camoes Square) in Bairro Alto. Expect to share a table with some new friends and enjoy O Trevo’s take on Lisbon’s...favorite sandwich, the bifana (slices of marinated pork in a freshly baked bun), washed down with a cold beer, juice, water or soft drink of you choice for just a few euros. Anthony Bourdain ate a bifana here when filming his “No Reservations” show on Lisbon.More

Charged 12 EUR for two small beers and two bifanas. The guy at the counter couldn't speak English and acted like that was the normal price.

I saw many locals eating here. That's a good signal! Quality food and very tasty. Many options: sandwiches, soups, fish, meat...
