Remarkable little restaurant located in a tiny alleyway, in the gorgeous Alfama neighbourhood. Owners are very friendly and very welcoming! I highly recommend you the traditional "chorizo asado" (roasted in front of you). We had the lovely cheese platter with honey and the chorizo plate...with blackberry sauce. Everything was very simple, but amazingly tasty. We enjoyed really good Ginjinha too. Very cheap! I recommend it!More

My girlfriend and I really loved this place. We had the menu and a few extras for quite a reasonable price, served with a smile and humour. While you're here, be sure to try the delicious cherry liquor :)

Don't mind the bad reviews in this place. They are actually from the place next door. I've tried both. Any pictures with the cup I've posted in the picture from either place is from o cantinho da rute. The host of O Cantinho is truly...a star. He makes you feel like you've stumbled into his living room. Everything is made of good produce and the wine is cheap but good. It's everything you want from a Cantinho. So if you find yourself in alfama I highly recommend this place.More

Came here to eat the other night, with my fiancee. Quiet little spot in Alfama with great proper tasty petiscos. Very reasonably priced and great service. We had about 6 different petiscos ,all very tasty and delicious. I would recommend this place for a quiet...little romantic meal with your other half.More

Having walked through the Alfama area we were caught up in the great atmosphere during the sardine festa, we found the restaurant tables full, but the smell and look of their grill made us want to eat here. We ended up walking round the block...three times, realising no other place attracted us as much and the 3rd time, when a table had become free, we grabbed it! We were not disappointed - We had the codfish croquettes, 12 grilled sardines between us, some potatoes and bread (accompanying the sardines) and sangria. Everything was delivered in a quick and friendly manner and despite our minimal Portugese, we were well treated and were able to share a joke or two. Would revisit if in Lisbon, which is saying something with so many decent restaurants in the City!More

We stumbled on this place whilst looking for a bar. Had an excellent tapas meal, the codfish was especially good and the cherry liqueur in chocolate was lovely. Not expensive and good fun
