A real insider tip in the trendy district of Lisbon. Live music is offered here every evening, which is pleasantly different from the usual fado monotony. Very extraordinary! The food is of a high standard and well worth the price. I recommend you try the...octopus, which is served on a bed of spinach. Also very extraordinary!More

What a treat: their octopus is famous, and I couldn’t agree more: it’s one of the best I’ve had in my life. Also the veal steak is delicious, and their Portuguese cheese (melted cheese, like a little fondue) appetiser is a real culinary experience. Oh,...and not to forget the cheesecake served in a glass: Don’t miss that!!! I hate to take one star off, that’s for some flaws in the service: They are not unfriendly, but not super motivated either, and a little unprofessional now and then. For example, after the appetizer when they remove your plates, they would take the dirty knives and forks off the plate and give it back to the guests, for the next course! That’s a little absurd for a restaurant in that price range. And sometimes you could tell there was some confusion about the bill containing things that were not ordered on some tables. We will give them the benefit of the doubt and assume there was no bad intentions behind it, only a little chaos at the cash register. All in all an incredibly pleasant experience nevertheless.More

Came here for Fado music, but also wanting a good meal and both were we worth it. Beware that the bread and water offered are not free, but that seems common as I have read the same done at other Fado spots. Unfortunately I don't...recall the musicians NES but they were great. Though performing to a half filled restaurant, they seemed no less passionate about there art. The chorizo was quite good, cheese plate was ok, too salty for me but that is a matter of the type of cheese not necessarily quality. The gaspacho great, if you like acidity as I do. The best thing I had was the sea bass and shrimp on tomato rice. The seafood was good, but the rice is what I really enjoyedMore

It’s not easy to find the combo; good Fado-music and good food in a great place!! Well ... Don’t look any further 👀 Duetos da Sé!! Located just outside the Sé de Lisboa in Alfama the place is a cozy restaurant with great acoustics and...modern art on display. The very nice and efficient staff takes care of the internal person while the singer and guitarist takes care of the other senses. Very happy we found this place! A great closure of a super weekend in Lisboa !!More

The food is delicious, however the portions are extremely small (considering the substantial price!). Service is also a mixed bag. They took about 40minutes to take our order... I think this was because at 2130 the singer started and they wanted to ensure we were...there for it.... Because it turned out we were charged €5 per person for it! Which we were not made aware of. The building is beautiful however the staff made it difficult to relax and enjoy ourselves.More

Good afternoon, we appreciate your comment, but I would like you to rate what you wrote, because it does not correspond to the truth. Never in 8 years we take more than 10m to place an order, and we do not need to hide anything...More

We found this place after searching high and low for good fado in Lisbon. Many fado bars operate a bit like bordellos, with spruikers standing in the street trying to lure you in to listen to an amateur fado singer who doubles as the cook...(true story!). This restaurant does no such thing. Featured artists are properly advertised on a monthly poster that we located after a careful online search, and there is no-one standing outside trying to haul you into the restaurant. We booked a table for dinner and were not only treated to the delight of listening to talented professional musicians playing a one hour set of both traditional and contemporary fado, but also truly excellent food served by attentive waiting staff. Overall, one of our favourite experiences in Lisbon.More

We had walked past this restaurant several times and admired its gleaming grand piano and snatches of late night Fado and thought we’d give it a try. They advertised a Fado concert every evening at 9.30pm and it turned out to be in three 20...minute sets. We received a warm welcome and were shown to a pair of ringside seats right beside the Fado performers. They were captivating and committed to their art. The food was excellent and the gazpacho in particular was first rate: served with a flourish. We ordered three different tapas and a glass of port each and each was delicious and well presented on slate platters.More

I went here last week and the food was average but overpriced. the worst part was that there was no fado. instead it was another type of music performance which was poorly performed. Would not recommend.More

First of all, do not be fooled about the claims that this restaurant has fado. It features musicians who sing fado style songs very well, but if you're looking for a traditional casa de fado, try somewhere else in Alfama or Bairro Alto. The musicians...who play at this place are very good entertainers and they do well to get everyone into the performance. I loved it. However, there's no guitarra portuguesa so purists are bound to be disappointed. The ambiance of the place is lovely. It has beautiful arched ceilings and gorgeous paintings on the walls. However, like many tascas in Lisbon, the air doesn't circulate (a bit painful in the summer). So if you've been enjoying some wine, sangria, or beer, you're going to get very sweaty. Given that situation, they really should offer more water to patrons. The food is good, down to the dinner rolls and paté that comes with the meal. I ordered the duck and my companion ordered the veal alongside some sangria. We both enjoyed our food and drink. It wasn't the best I've had in the city, but it was good. Solid 4 stars. The service is the weakness of this place. If you arrive between 8:30 and 9:30 (when most people dine out in Lisbon), your order might come out wrong and if you need to talk to the wait staff, it will take some effort. They got my order wrong, but they corrected the error post haste. It just took awhile to get their attention to correct the error. They need to hire more staff for the dinner rush. Given what we paid for our meal, it was a slight disappointment.More
