This used to be a fantastic place to have a drink and catch great Fado. However it is now a typical tourist trap charging 35 euro per person for crap food and cheap wine. Avoid.

Did not eat here, only came in for late night Fado. We had an apartment in the heart of Alfama, 150metres from the restaurant, after arriving late, midnight on a Friday night in November. Wondered in here at around 12.30 drawn by the look of...More

Small, tapas menu, enthused owners. Best of all, very young fado singers just starting out and giving their all. Guitar background lovely. We stayed and stayed way past our bedtime! COuld not stop listening to fabulous passionate fado!

Great petiscos, good live music. Only downsides are is it's tiny and gets very crowded, and it can be smoky.

We went there through the recommendation of our B&B hosts, and we couldn’t have been more thankful for the suggestion. We were looking for an authentic experience of fado music and Portuguese food, how the locals would experience it, and this place gave us exactly...More

I was seated in front of the door, so I had to move my chair or almost stand up every time someone wanted to come in or get out. Food is not great. "House wine" from card box. For three small slices of bread I...More
