Possibility of having dinner with a breathless view, we ordered just starter (good but standard) other than 1 salad and we paid 12 pp. Service: so and so...

While we didn't visit the restaurant per se, we did enjoy the food by Chef Bertilio Gomes at the Peixe em Lisboa or Lisbon Fish & Flavours. We had the salted caramel mousse & sauce, peanut brownie, chocolate gelato - it was amazing! I'm not ashamed to say that we ended up ordering another one. It was to good to... More

It is not often I wrestle the keyboard from my wife but felt the need on this occasion as my first impressions were so wrong. On arrival don't let the 'Barnum' style juggler put you off, or the young 'ring master' girl guarding the restaurant area. We had a booking for 830pm and arrived at 825pm to be told by... More

Recommended to us by the owner of our rental apartment, and did not disappoint. The view across Lisbon towards the suspension bridge is glorious, The service is excellent - friendly, professional, never pushy. Being unfamiliar with Portuguese wines, we asked for advice and the recommended bottle was excellent and reasonably priced. The food was very good indeed. Had we had... More

We popped in here for a birthday drink in the evening on a Friday and weren't sure if we'd get a seat. Despite the fact that it was busy, we were shown to a table very promptly, when we said we just wanted a drink they didn't mind at all and they didn't rush us either. There was a nice... More

I've been to Lisbon three times and I never miss a chance to visit this restaurant. Good food but the best thing about this place is the beautiful view of Lisbon.

This is a restaurant with many levels. Reservations are recommended for the upper level. It provides an amazing view and a romantic setting overlooking Lisbon. We sat right at the window. We had a great meal second to none while we were in Lisbon. It was a mix of tradition and nouveau cuisine. Even more amazing was the cost. It... More

Staying in Castelo, Alfama & Mouraria

Neighborhood Profile
Castelo, Alfama & Mouraria
Explore narrow streets and alleyways, small cafes and, of course, the internationally acclaimed Fado music. The earth-shattering Great Earthquake of 1755 destroyed most of the city but the contiguous neighborhoods of Mouraria, Castelo and Alfama remained standing to this day. These neighborhoods represent Lisbon at its historical best. The cool breeze of the Tagus river will take you up the hills to the sound of Fado, where you'll discover the best "tascas," eat delicious fresh fish and drink great wines. Discover hidden viewpoints and ancient traces of other civilizational ruins in the heart of the Portuguese capital. These are centuries-old neighborhoods that will welcome you to the very best of old Lisbon culture.
