We went for dinner last night and had the best time! We were there for 3 hours and the staff treated us with a lot of care and were super friendly! Definitely recommend their fish soup as a starter, the "polvo a lagreiro" (octopus) for...a main, and the house green wine was perfect! Their desserts were incredible as well (pao de lo and the quindin). 100% recommend.More

This small resto/wine bar was recommended by our walking tour guide. I'm glad we took his recommendation. Nice ambiance and friendly English speaking server who offered a nice variety of Portugese wines, including interesting fortified wines after dinner. The food choices were more extensive than...many wine bars- in addition to the excellent cheese and charcuterie, there was tapas sized dishes of duck, octupus, shrimp and others. Every dish we ordered was quite good, although some wines were better than others. I hope to return to Lisbon and Alfaia Garrafeira again soon (ok after the virus goes away!)More

Good food and atmosphere. Went here because of reviews and it was good. We went for the bacalhau a bras which is described in English as salt cod with egg and chips....it’s so much more than this. Delicious and we ordered it twice again in...other restaurants. Also had lovely clams. Would recommend.More

Small and almost too easy to miss, this establishment is the real deal. We wanted to buy wine to take back to our hotel and the host could not have been more accommodating. Only sorry it was not meal time or we would have been...happy to give the food a try as well. Wonderful find.More

Excellent find while walking around Barrio Alto. The octopus salad in vinaigrette was simple and delicious. Local sausages also. Generous portions, good house wines, fresh green salad, good bread. And reasonably priced with excellent service. Thoroughly enjoyed!

Excellent and attentive service, great wines with fantastic advice on service. All the food was much better than you’d expect in an area popular with tourists. The real deal.

As with many places in Lisbon, the outgoing and nature of the staff here really made our evening. They were kind and funny and offered us a couple samples and really allowed us to have a fun evening. The wine selection is wonderful - we...went with their recommendations and were not disappointed. Their melted cheese with pumpkin jam was one of my favorite foods from our entire trip and we also really liked the garlic shrimp. There is both outside seating and a couple rooms of inside seating and the restaurant kitchen is across the alley - it is quite charming. A very low key but wonderful dining experience to have in Lisbon!More

I had no idea of this place but chanced upon it in mid-July. The front bar was all I wanted - a quite wine. The bar-man (maitre'd) was clearly in the know re wines and was convivial. I got into talk about the music and...again he was in the know. Added cheese to the talk with my English neighbour... continued the convivial vibe, and then ... one of my music references was being played! Go there for 20 mins or the full meal thing.More

We visited here both in the day and the evening. They have a god selection of wines and ports and are happy for you to taste, plus they have cheese and meats if you want a snack to accompany your beverage. Staff are friendly and...attentive.More
