About
THE TRADITIONS OF BEER OF THE PORTUGUESE SPEAKING COUNTRIES ARE CELEBRATED IN ONE OF THE MOST NOTORIOUS PLACES IN LISBON. GASTRONOMY, BEER AND AN EXQUISITE AMBIENCE ARE THE MAIN INGREDIENTS OF FELLOWSHIP When visiting the Museum in the first floor the visitor can appreciate its historical relevance on the Portuguese beer heritage. In the first floor there is the Beer House, a space of celebration of life where fellowship is associated with the flavors of beer and good food. Here the evening conviviality is made with the typical Lisbon steaks, with the codfish cake and seafood, everything with a good beer of course.

The food is nothing exceptional, the price is a little higher than the competition, but the service leaves something to be desired: inattentive staff, making it necessary to keep your arm raised for a while for them to come and serve you. Furthermore, when I asked for the bill, the waiter brought it and told me to pay the bill at the cashier, because he wanted to clear the table soon. I've never seen this in any restaurant I've been to in my life. I do not recommend. There are much better options in the square.

This location is very nice inside and at first I was excited to have dinner here. However the waitress started out very curt and rude. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt due to possible language barriers. The last straw was when I asked about the tins of sardines on display and she rudely snapped that they were "different types of fish" and sarcastically asked if I wanted dessert or coffee for the 2nd or 3rd time when I already said no. If the wait staff isn't prepared to answer questions about products on display for sale, then why are the products out? I said no I was good and didn't need dessert and she never returned. Different wait staff brought my bill and I heard one of them say "American" in a negative tone as he came over. I guess asking questions is taboo in this restaurant. I've never been snubbed by a waitress before for asking a question about a product for sale. I wanted a souvenir for my dad who is over 80, but I guess that was unreasonable to try to buy an item that was on display for sale, the price list was visible....

We went to the beer museum for lunch. We started with a beautiful beer, served in spectacular glasses, and some mercury pastels with serrat cheese that were divine. We continue with some rotten eggs and a pica pau, all delicious. We were excellently served and guided by Mr. António Teixeira👍, always very attentive and attentive to all the details never leaving anything to be missed. Value the experience for the space and the excellent service of Mr. António Teixeira 👌

Taking advantage of the location on the Place du Commerce, this restaurant (beer museum to attract) which does not have exterior posters on the price menu; will serve you a reduced choice of very expensive dishes for very disappointing value for money: 10€ for a 60cl beer, 4.5 for a basket of bread, 6.50€ for a cod croquette and almost 20€ for garlic shrimp. and coriander. If you can, I recommend going your own way to find small bars in the adjacent streets to avoid this type of tourist trap which will leave you hungry and your purse dry. The only positive point is that the service is fast and friendly.

The restaurant has a very large terrace by we decided to have lunch inside in the cool of the air conditioned. The decoration is funky and you like it or you hate it, we love it. The big difference is the kindness of the staff, starting from António that I believe is the restaurant manager. We had the salt cod fish croquettes that were the only dish that was ok but not to die for, The salted mushrooms with ham, the grilled tuna and the entrecôte were impeccable and accompanied by really great vegetables. The tuna is served with roasted fennel with orange that is really tasty and perfectly cocked. It is not cheap but it’s very good value for money in a very nice, elegant and relaxing ambience with one of the best services in town

Start of vacation for two French people in Lisbon! At lunchtime we decide to eat the famous Bacalhau from Portugal and then we go to the place so famous on social networks. We then order 3 bacalhau and 2 pints of classic blond beer (60cl) 45€ I just find this sum more than execrable for the little thing ordered certainly the bacalhau was good thanks to the cheese added in it but nothing more classic nothing is worth the price. In any case the place is very pretty but that stops here, the price is beyond expensive for the few things ordered. As chef Remy I don't recommend the place unless €45 for 3 bacalhau doesn't seem expensive to you. 1 star for the kindness of the waitress. 1 star for the beauty of the place. I will never come back.

Be careful when ordering, don't trust the waiter, ask for the card!!! He imposes a 60cl beer on you, claiming that it's the only size... it's false!!! He will explain to you that the Place du Commerce location in Lisbon has to be paid for... He brings you bacalhau pastels without having ordered them for you to taste... send them away if you don't want them otherwise you will be charged for them even if he tells you that he is offering them to you... A nice tourist trap!!!

Very nice environment, delicious cod cake, but it wasn't this time we ate it. We arrived and ordered 3 pastels and asked if we could still look at the menu. The attendant immediately said that the kitchen was going to close, that he was going to pick up the dishes and the wine took every order. At this time another waiter came and told us that he could not ask for anything else, that the kitchen was closed. When the colleague arrived with the dishes, he was "seeing ships" without understanding what was going on. And we're without dinner!

Beer was good but expensive, I do get that it would be for the location. So, we also wanted to eat and ordered Bife Wellington. We were advised by the waiter that it can't be ordered well-done which to me is a no-go in any case. Assuming that the meat would be of good quality we ordered one medium and one medium-rare. To our disappointment the meat was of very poor quality, almost impossible to eat. We did complain but apart from saying we are sorry no other action. One of or team ordered tuna and that was good. Price quality ratio in general poor, I don't recommend, one pays only for the location of the restaurant.

The name's a misnomer, since there aren't real quality beers in Portugal, and this place doesn't display or specialize in beers. Their menu included typical Portuguese dishes of pork, ham and Cod. Our food was served efficiently and was quite tasty (without approaching truly gourmet in any way).

Although the location is advantageous and the service was fine, the restaurant proudly advertises Codfish Balls as one of the quintessential Portuguese dishes. However, the dish we received was so salty/fishy as to be almost inedible. (8 of us agreed on this). And we were afraid to try them elsewhere for the next week, thinking that was just how they were traditionally served, but when we did eventually risk them at another restaurant, we found them tasty indeed, leading us to believe it was just this one particular restaurant where they were so awful. I can’t vouch for the rest of their menu.

We stopped for a quick drink and decided to check out the museum. The display with an audio guide was informative about the history of beer-making. The highlight of the tour was a tasting of Portuguese craft beer. Our guide for the tasting was Diksha, who was both personable and knowledgeable. Based on our responses to a few questions, she suggested the perfect beer to sample. Overall, it was a great experience, I would recommend it to any beer drinker visiting Lisbon.

While it’s always challenging to serve 150 people at a time there’s no excuse for the food to be ice cold. It was our worst meal in Lisbon. The beer was good, the staff were pleasant but every dish was cold and the took so long we never got try dessert, although a few people did and they said it was bad.

It would be funny to see if it wasn't for the price. In the end you pay €10 for a beer you get in the end. Three or four rooms set with beer-related themes (history, transportation, brewing, etc.) that explain you in an Audio Guide that you soon stop using. In the end if you have paid 10€ you can choose a beer to drink, you can do a tasting of beers of more pays.

After having had a confirmed reservation by email, both for the visit to the museum with tasting included and for a table to eat, when I got there they told me that they did not know about the visit or the tasting They left us alone to visit the museum and the tasting was served to us at the table in the living room instead of the space reserved for it in the museum itself. The attention of the waiters was not good at all, as if they had forgotten us I already knew it from having been there for work and the service these days had nothing to do with when I was there a few years ago I don't think I will return and maybe I wouldn't recommend it either.

Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
