Don't go anywhere else to eat ice créas... Santini is the Best, excellent favors. And it's between praça comercio and baixa chiado... I couldn't get enough of this... yummy ❤😋

We kept coming back to this place, the flavours were fantastic. After tasting a few, my personal favourites were melon and watermelon together... Delicious! Our kids loved the milk caramel and cream flavours. I would agree with other reviewers that it's a bit expensive but I guess you can get away with it when you're an iconic ice cream parlor... More

This place is so quaint and delicious. It's in a great part of town. We went shopping and there was a line out the door for the gelato here! So of course we had to try it! Even though the line was long it moved pretty fast. Their gelato flavours were great and everyone loved all the flavours they got!... More

I am actually not a big fan of ice cream myself in general. I though gelatos in Italy was good but nothing to write home about. But, while in Lisbon, if you eat only one thing, it should be the mango ice cream in Santini. To me, it was actually as close to actually eating the fruit itself as possible... More

Fantastic ice cream from a very busy shop on one of the main streets of central Lisbon. A long queue (thankfully in A/C) but not a very long wait with an efficient service. We had Lemon, Passionfruit (both extremely tasty and refreshing), Strawberry (by far the best we have ever tried, with a very natural fruit flavour) and Chocolate (rich... More

Every time I visit Lisbon I have roundabout 6 to 9 scoops of Santini strawberry ice cream - per day! As I said: Best strawberry ice cream in the world!

Let me say that this was the most flavorful and delicious gelato anyone in our family has ever had! We first visited the location in Cascais which we loved so much and when we got back to Lisbon, we found out that had a second location there. We decided we had to go to the Lisbon location before we left... More

The place was crowded in downtown Lisbon . We ordered the big size and the ice cream was really delicious but a bit overpriced for the the quantity they put in each. There a better options in Lisbon not far away

As if we needed more food while in Lisbon! Well worth the stop as recommended by our guide yesterday. Sorbets are magnificent.

This place is super hyped as being one of the best "gelato" places in the world. So on a recent trip to Lisbon, we decided to give it a go...We tried a few of the sorbets (passionfruit and strawberrY), and they were absolutely amazing - I felt like I was eating the fruit.. We then decided to give some of... More

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighborhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
