We had a wonderful experience at Povo. The food was delicious and the Fado was entertaining. Two guitar players and a singer performed in 15 minutes sessions while we were served and ate in between. We had mentioned on our reservation that it was our...More

We went here to experience authentic Fado at a good price. 4 euros per person, so much better than other places. The Fado is two 15-20 minute mini shows, with time to eat/order more food in between. Even though the shows were short, they felt...More

I booked a dinner at Povo for my group of 6 only knowing that Fado music was part of the evening. We arrived early to discover the restaurant is on 'Pink Street"-the former red light district of Lisbon. We had a drink outside and then...More

This is not a fado place. Loud disco music from outside, terrible acoustic in the restaraunt. No specific fado atmosphere at all. Do not recommend.

We wanted to take our 4 and 7 year old to fado... A bit of a risk because they are very serious about silence during the singing, but it’s such a beautiful Portuguese experience... This place was fantastic! Intimate setting (maybe 8 or 10 tables?)...More

Nice intimate venue. We pre-booked a table for 4. Upon entering at 8.00 we were told we needed to leave by 10.00. Tapas type food was ok as was the service. You pay an extra €4 for the fado which is why we went there...More

Lovely fresh food in a busy 'pink-lined' street. Go mid-week if you prefer a quieter evening - at the weekends this street is full of people albeit with a great atmosphere. The food is fresh and reasonably priced. Service is very good.

You have to make a booking to secure a table with them. They serve lovely tapas style which is just so divine like their pork cheeks and veal! They also have a live musician signing fade music at additional small charge but it’s worth every...More

We made a reservation and had a great time here having good food and listening to the fado performance. The musicians came on a little before 9 and do a few songs then take a break for a bit before resuming to allow table service...More

This restaurant is not very big and it's located in an interesting part of town the "Pink Street." It's quite animated. The food was good, not too overprice. You have to pay an extra 4 euros per person to listen to Fado singers. During the...More
