Yep, I got sucked into this place after watching Bourdain. Not just a local spot anymore after all these years! Having said that, there are still a lot of locals eating here. If you don’t make a reservation ahead of time (online with a 25...euro/pp deposit), then be prepared to queue. We got there early, around 6:30 and waited about 45 minutes for a table. The queuing process is very impersonal- you sit in a big space and wait for your number to be called on the loud speaker. But appreciate that there is a place to sit! This place is loud and bustling…which for us was so much fun! May not be for everyone. Our waiter was great. He gave us good advice on how much to order and what to order so that it wasn’t too much and just really took good care of us. You could get lost navigating the menu…. Food was good. You can’t really go wrong with garlic shrimp, crab and buttered bread! We also went with the Scarlett red shrimp- which was good. Waiter cut them open and prepped them for us. The steak sandwich “dessert” was also a fun way to end our meal of beer and seafood!More

Louis was our server and let me tell you, you just need to listen to him and what he tells you to order, his portion proposal is on point! And he has a lot of great choices. Very accommodating and made our first time experience...amazing. Thoroughly loved the overall meal and experience. Would definitely come back!More

We visited this restaurant tonight and were really looking forward to our meal. As we hadn’t booked we went along early at around 6.30 and waited around 40 minutes for a table. When we were taken into the restaurant everything seemed a bit chaotic. There...were waiters rushing around and it was difficult to see who was in charge. We were sat at a table and without any conversation a laminated QR code was plonked in front of us. No explanation was given. We eventually stopped a passing waiter to explain that neither my husband or I had a QR code reader on our phones so could we please have a copy of the menu. The young waiter said they didn’t have a menu and went off to get help. We saw him approach 4 or 5 more senior staff but none of them approached us to give us a menu or offer any explanation. We waited around 10 minutes and in that time nobody asked us if we wanted a drink or approached us in any way. In the end we walked out, crossed the road and found another restaurant where the staff were much more professional and courteous and we enjoyed a very nice meal. TIP : do not visit this restaurant without a QR code reader on your phone!More

We had no booking. Arrived at door and we were advised to take a ticket!! The waiting experience was like a bad airport lounge. After 30 minutes we were shown to a shared table. The waiter disappeared and we were left to decipher the ordering...system. Thankfully the couple at the table explained the system. We ordered garlic clams and dressed crab. There are no salads, vegs, potato. The fish was lovely The dining experience was bare. Not for us unfortunatelyMore

A good place for seafood lovers to dine, we enjoyed the food, the wine and the service. Reasonable price for the selection.

Reserve in advance. We looked forward coming here 2 months in advance. We let the waiter order for us as everything looked amazing. The taste was heavenly good, but we unfortunately ordered more than we could handle.

Whatever others say, this place IS worth the wait. Go early and you won't have to wait long or make reservations well in advance (before your trip). You will have the freshest and most unusual seafood at this famous cervejaria. The scarlet shrimp, garlic clams...and unique "Percebes " (barnacles) along with the amazing garlic butter bread are all delicious. Don't forget to have the "special dessert" at the end. Friendly and knowledgeable wait staff.More

I ate here at about 3:30-4:00 in the afternoon. No wait but when I left it was jammed packed. I ordered the giant prongs which were over cooked making it extremely difficult to get the meat out of the shell without scraping it out with...my hands. The only thing that saved this place for me was my waiter, TONY. HE WAS ABSOLUTELY MARVELOUS!!! He helped me get the menu from my phone. He helped me with food portions bc they go by weight. Metric system of which we Americans have no clue. He kept the drinks coming. I ordered barnacles which are a delicacy and he taught me how to eat them! He was the best server I had in 3 weeks in Portugal. Unfortunately, he was on break when I checked out and the waiter who took my order was not as friendly so I didn't trust him to give my tip to TONY. So, unfortunately, I was not able to leave him one but he was what made the experience excellent. The food, however, not so much and had I waited an hour to be seated, I would have been TERRIBLY disappointed! Food not worth the wait.More

Made a reservation a month in advance and could only get 5pm on a Wednesday. No one eats dinner at 5p in Lisbon, but I took it due to the reviews. We arrived, and there were only 4 other tables filled, but they insisted on...bunching us in one section. There were never even half the tables full, so why could we only get a 5p reservation? The seafood was fine but uninteresting and the waitstaff seemed annoyed that we ordered the crab with shell--maybe because the shells take longer to crack and they wanted to shuffle us out. Significantly better places in Lisbon--go elsewhere.More

You get a number when arrive and wait until it’s called. Wasn’t too long, enjoyed a beer waiting. Then the hard part was to choose what to have from a wide range of seafood. Lobster a bit too expensive but settled on oysters, crab and...prawns, all excellently prepared in different flavours and spices. This is seriously good seafood.More

I wish i could be reviewing the food at this place however Ramiro operates a ticket queuing system designed to keep you waiting and waiting for a table. Neither the customers nor the staff have any ideas of when your turn is next. We ended...up waiting nearly 2hours all the time being told by the staff that it would only be another 20mins. Angry and hungry after being ignored and dismissed we left. The entire evening was ruined by the dishonest way that we were treated. Not worth the trip nor the time spent waiting and being treated like second class undesirables. AVOID!More

My wife and I went to several great restaurants in Lisbon, and this was hands down our favorite. We liked it so much that we returned for a second time. Keep in mind, this place is popular so expect a wait. My wife and I...had the concierge in our hotel (Hotel Corpo Santo) make reservations for us; we're told the only way to do so is via email. In any case, on both occasions we arrived just before the restaurant opened (1 pm) and there were dozens of people waiting. I completely understand why. Both times we were treated to exceptionally fresh/delicious seafood, excellent service, and a wonderful/enjoyable experience overall. Both visits my wife and I were seated along with another couple on a large rectangular table, and both times we received awesome service from Alfonso. My wife and I aren't the most social, but on both occasions we enjoyed sitting a few feet away from another couple at the same table and conversing with them And Alfonso is the best! He kept the small beers coming without my asking for them, which I loved. For dessert he recommended the prego (steak sandwich), which is Ramiro's signature. Loved it! Cervejaria Ramiro was definitely the dining highlight of our trip, and the place we'll go back to again and again next time we visit Lisbon.More

Hard pass. I was looking forward to dinner here. Unfortunately I ordered the shrimp and it wasn’t good. Very tough. In the middle of eating they wanted to change out my table. Not move me but change the actual table. I was confused since I...was in the middle of dinner. I told them I was almost done, almost. I was going to order a port but the waiter just gave me my check and pushed me out the door.More

Difficult to give a positive answer. They don't answer the phone when busy. I would simply suggest show up early on that day and you won't wait very long to get in.
