The food was great, the service too.... Its noisy, but that is part of the atmosphere in a "cervejaria". The crab was very tasty and fresh with a great dip. The clams were really good with the perfect sauce. Even the steak sandwich was done to perfection! Prices were not high at all, compared to others, whose food, in my... More

Incredible food, freshest possible, for an easily affordable price. We had the clams, garlic shrimp, spider crab, and plenty of bread to mop up every last drop of whatever was left. Be sure and finish with the steak sandwich.

For context, I'm Portuguese and went to Ramiro as a national (who lives abroad but is still familiar with local places). I'm going to balance the hype train a bit here: Ramiro is a good place to eat seafood, but it is not absolutely amazing. And if you look at the lines when dinner time comes (we're talking lines of... The menu is almost exclusively shellfish - mussels, clams, giant tiger prawns, crabs, lobster, crawfish - so don't expect any fish or other special seafood dishes. They also don't do seafood in any fancy way, everything is cooked very simply and is excellent. We had the giant prawns which were grilled perfectly in melted butter; the crab was served fresh... It's not a fancy place, it doesn't look like a palace. The deal at this place is it's authentic experience of a nice Portuguese "Tasca" (bar). They serve you well. They serve you fast. They serve you the best sea food and the nicest, coldest beer. It's a joy to see the dishes coming, the delicious bread with butter, the... More

So, after having been to Lisbon twice before without managing to go to Ramiro, this time I booked a table a couple of weeks in advance for the Sunday night. We got there at 19:30 (only time they would let me book a table for two for). We walked passed the queue outside to get into the restaurant. We were... More

What a mecca for seafood lovers - wow ! No nonsense choice of beautifully fresh seafood, accompanied by platefuls of bread, dripping with garlic butter. Ask for white wine and you get a cold bottle of very good vinho verde, ideal as a partner to the food. And great value for money too, compared to London. If we go back... More

We ordered a whole bunch of stuff off the menu - my favourite was the tiger prawns. The service was top notch, as was the wine - and all in all it was worth the wait to get in.

If we could give this 6 stars we would! I'm still dreaming of the garlic prawns... Everything is fresh, authentic, steaming hot, bursting with flavour! Long tables with paper tablecloths, surrounded by tanks of fresh fish and shellfish. Knowledgeable old-style waiters serving up your food super quick! Piles of bread to sop up the garlic sauce... Absolutely incredible, you won't... More

1. Do go there for fresh fish and seafood. 2. Do book a table. 3. Don't queue at the door, just go in (provided you've done step 2) 4. Do be prepared to take a hammer to your dinner. 5. Don't laugh too hard at the girl sitting at the next table who says she's a vegetarian. 6. Don't let... More
