Binod (our waiter), was excellent. This was the first time I tried Nepalese food. I will come again. Great quality/price.

We came for dinner and were greeted with amazing service, our waiter Binod was very helpful, polite and welcoming. We sat outside and while we were the only table outside, we never had to wait between rounds of imperials. Highly recommend for anybody who is...a fan of (or just curious about) nepalese food.More

We came close to closing time for lunch. We ordered two spicy curry dishes, one chicken and one shrimp. We enjoyed the high quality well tasting food with a cold beer. We were not served any couvert. It is not served to lunch as last...time to dinner. We will be back.More

Incredible food and super friendly staff. We got the sampler plate for two, it was delicious. The environment was great and our waiter Binod made our experience that much better.

We visited Casa Nepalesa this evening, excited by the great reviews and the opportunity to try Nepalese cuisine during our stay in Lisbon. For a Friday evening and recommended corona measures (July 2020), there seemed to be no extra spacing between the tables and the...place was packed full by 9pm, which felt a bit unsafe considering the situation. We were greeted with the standard appetizer duo and the set of 4 sauces, as seen in many of the the review photos here. All was tasty, but the sauces appeared to be served in much smaller cups and there wasn't even a spoonful of sauce in each, let alone a full cup measure. The last "sauce" was a bean-sized dollop of spicy paste. It all felt like an embarrasingly small amount and it was confusing what to do with the sauces - not enough for neither dipping nor truly enjoying with our meal. When the roti arrived, I was disappointed to see that it was a single and relatively small bread, cut in 4. Delicious, but at more than 3 euros per roti, it felt overpriced. The main took a little too long to arrive. My boyfriend had the yoghurt grilled chicken - a boring presentation of 5 small breast pieces, again failing to convince in quality and value for the price. Only 2 of the cuts were juicy and tender - the rest all had unfortunate remains of tendon. The dish arrived with an "outdated salad" - essentially a pyramid of green lettuce and cut vegetables, without any dressing or condiment whatsoever, leaving us perplexed as to why it's served and how to eat it (unsure if the micro-sauces at the beginning were supposed to also be used on the salad?). I ordered the cashew shrimp curry, the most expensive dish of the shrimp group, whereby the shrimp was both charcoal-grilled and cooked. Erroneously, I imagined some cashew nuts would be in there, but I found only about half a dozen shrimps in the creamy sauce and yet another underwhelming presentation. All tasted fine, the curry was pleasantly light and probably unique to Nepal in terms of its spice mix, served with a small portion of basmati. Overall, a decent dish, nothing to rave about in terms of taste, presentation, nor quantity. There was more than enough room for the silky sweet rice dessert thereafter. I commend the waiters and staff on managing a very busy evening. Perhaps if there were less guests served by only 2-3 waiters, the experience would have felt warmer, the dishes might have been explained, we might have made better choices in terms of our order. All that aside, I couldn't help feeling disappointed by what we were served. Nepalese food was certainly worth tasting, but based on our experience this evening, I wouldn't return.More

We visited for lunch on the recommendation of friends and Casa Nepalesa did not disappoint. We had a prawn curry dish and a lamb curry dish--both perfectly cooked and delicious. Make sure you leave some room for dessert because the coconut ice cream was presented...beautifully and tasted incredible. The excellent service perfectly complimented the meal. Krishna was attentive and so kind. Had we stayed in Lisbon longer we would have loved to come back to try more of the menu!More
