Sol e Pesca is one of those places that attracts you. It’s cool, easy and in a very dynamic area. Of course you have to share their concept of serving food, which is mainly in cans. Sardines are amazing (mainly those in spicy tomatoes sauce)...and octopus as well. I would recommend going for lunch and you might still have to wait if you want to seat outside. Few words about the service. I will give 4 stars only because of a girl who was smiling and transmitting all the passion she had for her job. She gave us good advices about which kind of sardines to buy (you can but directly from the store). The first guy who served us was a kind of rude. We asked for a second beer and he put it on a table in a rude way without saying a word. So, thanks to the young lady who made our day and a positive review of Sol e PescaMore

The food is really good and also the location but there are some problems with the staff. There are some different in the prices between day and night.

Great food and a great atmosphere, located right next to the time out market. Most of the staff were exemplary except for one younger guy who chastised us openly in the restaurant for asking after a plate that hadn’t arrived. A real shame, I understand...the staff were very busy but it was actively quite standoffish. Maybe do takeout if you want to eat here.More

a stop on our culinary restaurant crawl of lisbon. Right on Pink street, on a weeknight, and the place - both Sol e Pesca and Pink Street were absolutely hopping. We managed to snag a table right outside the store and watch the craziness! It's...another one of these conservas (canned/tinned fish) restaurants, with good bread, great cocktail and beer. Despite being sort of in a touristy area the waiter was helpful and the experience was fun. Beware...the chairs at the table are about a foot high. It is like sitting at your child's kindergarten seat during parent teacher week! Would definitely recommend.More

This is a completely unique experience and the ONLY place in Lisbon where you can order plated seafood from a tin. Don’t go here looking for the fresh catch, that’s not what this place is about… but take a minute to open your mind to...these delicious treats! We recommend the Octopus in Green sauce, the Spicy Mackerel, and the Muxama! We also had the Dish of the Day, a codfish salad, that was served with bread and a beverage. Delicious! We had the green wine. Theirs is a sparkling white version that was a bit sweet and very light and refreshing. Although the location on Pink Street is quite touristy, this place felt like a local vibe, perhaps because we were here on a weekday.More

Decent cocktails and nice vibes, but the food was absolutely impossible to eat. What they served me tasted and looked like dog food. When I told them (after only taking a bite) that the food was horrible, the waiter stated that it already happened multiple...times and that we would need to pay anyway. And on top of that when they gave us the bill, they even included a dish they never served us. I'm outraged.More

Quirky bar that specialises in canned fish. Absolutely loved the aesthetic. The food wasnt quite to our taste, but we both enjoyed the novelty. Good atmosphere with the surrounding pink road.

Great fun place, grab a beer or two in a great location and try some Portuguese tinned fish. Kai was great! Try the smoked cod liver! Even my wife loved it and she does not like canned fish.

Not sure if this place is a joke or what. The food is disgusting. The salad was drowning in vinegar so we sent it back and the waiter didn't seem to understand why. We got a new salad, this time drowning in garlicy olive oil....What? The 7€ mussel dish was almost funny: six mussles in a bowl in cold water. Whaaat?! Awful, just awful.More

Do yourself a favour and avoid this place no matter what! We thought we would be served a nice warm and tasty bowl of mussels, but ended up getting a bowl of cold toilet water where five mussels were swimming without the shells. The salad...we orderd was soaked in vinegar and after telling the staff we didn’t appreciate the lettuce covered in vinegar we were complitely ignored and got the worst service.More

Cosy little hang out in the heart of Lissabon. Loved choosing from the many sardines on display... for sure one of the best places if you are into testing different sardine cans! Mostly young crowd from pink street but definitely worth a visit for anybody.

Best selection of canned seafood! We tried four different types of food and loved them all, so much that we even bought some to take home!

I had a wonderful lunch here. The setting is lovely - a cosy, well-preserved venue adorned with fishing equipment, which had beautiful tins and packaging on display on each wall. I also had an extremely nice waiter - helping me choose what to have from...a big menu (I went for spicy sardines and smoked salmon - both delicious, but the salmon was sublime) and showed me the cans for each type of fish I was trying. The food was accompanied with a very nice glass of house white, and I got to try a ginjinha to round off the meal, before heading straight to the airport. Couldn’t have asked for a better end to my trip. This place is highly worth a visit!More
