We had dinner at Moma and every course was a hit. The food was amazing and the service super friendly and funny. One of the highlights of our trip! Please drop in for a meal you will not regret it.

Yesterday we had lunch at the Moma Grill, from starters to desserts, everything was just fantastic. A recommendation for a good Portuguese lunch/diner.

We went here based on Tripadvisor reviews and once again we were not disappointed. We sat on a lovely little patio/pedestrian street. I had the sardines with potatoes and salad. While simply prepared it was more sophisticated then the exact same dish I had in Sintra the day before. The sardines were very fresh, the potatoes were grilled and the... More

We were walking through this rather touristic street, where all the owners of the restaurants were trying to Talk you in, which i hate. However the last restaurant did not do any effort and was busy with local people. So we decided to have lunch here... What a great choice!!! Nice staff and the food was amazing with flavours i... Delicious low key lunch. Great location. Not at all touristy. Sensational fish at a good price. Great service too...

We tried to have dinner in this family run restaurant on Sunday but they are closed Saturday and Sunday However lunch on Monday was excellent No tourists here just Lisbons suited locals. No pictures of food as in the tourist joints further up the street just perfectly cooked food and good no pushy service. The grilled calamari was perfect. My... More

Walking past all the touristy restaurant with photos of their dishes on display and waiters trying to offer you a table you will find this place that stands out - no pictures, no one trying to convince you to take a table. And they don't need to; pleasant environment and great food.

Excellent food, excellent friendly service. Nobody outside trying to force you in, no need to have laminated pictures of the food either. Fresh fish very well cooked. Amazing raspberry desert and all very reasonably priced. Manager was very friendly and knowledgeable. Waitress also very good. By far the best restaurants we have been to in Lisbon.

I'm not sure why this showed as closed on tripadvisor as it was well and truly open for business when we were there in late may. Far more authentic than the restaurants in the tourist focussed restaurants in Rue Augusta. On the lunchtime we were there it was mainly used by local office people . Plenty of choice , daily... Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighborhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
