We ate here on a Saturday night after being recomended by a friend who had been earlier in the year and were certainly grateful for the tip! The restaurant is run by a couple who are the only staff and only seats about 20 people so you must book. There were multiple people turned away when we were there. The... More

Small family run restaurant/tapas bar. Food was excellent, delicious local wine that was very reasonably priced and exceptional service. Only a small number of tables so booking is recommended and it is not somewhere that you would stumble upon so be warned!!

A small restaurant serving great Portuguese "petiscos". Reservation is mandatory. Very fair value for money. A place to repeat, for sure.

There are not enough good words to describe the quality of the food served in this restaurant. It is more of a tapas restaurant which gives you the chance to sample several different dishes all freshly cooked to order. Once again we found that we luckily had booked this restaurant ahead and it only had 7 tables and every person... More

We were lucky to find this restaurant recommended by our host and just a few steps from our apartment. A small, family owned restaurant with authentic, delicious,Portuguese food and wine. The food was served at a perfect pace and came out piping hot. We especially loved the pork stew and baked octopus. We came back on our last night and once... More

Disappointed that reservation was cancelled at 5pm by email when the restaurant had our phone number. We had arranged our day around the area and did not pick up the email until 7pm

Thank you for taking time writing your review. We completely understand your frustration but, just to be clear, we didn't had any phone contact of yours. You can check the emails we changed. There wasn't any phone number or else of course we would warn you by phone. As we explained we are just 2 working here and when something... More

This small restaurant is a welcoming, intimate place where the service is friendly and the food simply excellent. It is a tapas style menu and we ordered a selection of five dishes. All dishes were delicious and generous. Baked Octopus was tender and flavoursome, cod fritters with rice and beans authentically rustic, pica pau (beef) with a compelling sauce and... More

This might be the smallest restaurant we ever have visited. But what a lovely experience. The menu was small simple tapas plates with great taste for a reasonable price The restaurant is a family business were the husband is the chef and his lovely pregnant wife take care of the guests. A place to visit. But make reservation. There is... More

Being owner of a restaurant myself! Booked a table, confirmed and cancelled 20 minutes before. Arrogance will definitely fail sooner or later. That's an absolute ultimate no go!

Principe Real
From the splendid garden and its cafe-kiosk to its restaurants, Príncipe Real is more than worthy of a visit and it won't let you down: its attractions include "Pavilhão Chinês" (one of the more eccentric interior designs you'll ever see), museums and a fantastic botanical garden. It's also a commercial neighborhood, and you can visit a renovated Palace, home of the Embaixada (embassy) trendy shopping center with its cafes, art galleries and luxury shops... and even if you don't buy anything, take a look inside just for its marvellous interiors. On top of this, Príncipe Real offers a variety of places to eat: if you're in a hurry, drop by "Pizza a Pezzi"; and if you're not, taste the delicious Honorato hamburgers, Argentinian cuisine at La Paparrucha and also great, delicious Portuguese food at Tascardoso!
