This is a difficult review. If you consider this place as a Restaurant, I would give 2 stars (expensive low-quality food). However, if you rate the atmosphere, then it is a five-star place!

We can wait 10 minutes outside to listen to fado standing when the restaurant is full. There is good atmosphere, the restaurant is very tiny.

Tasca do Chico is one of those places that you don’t even want to tell to anyone because you want to have it all to yourself! This is my must visit place every time in Lisbon and one of the best fado places in town....More

We went there for dinner and live fado. The fado was exceptional! Very emotional, atmospheric and felt genuine. 4 different singers where changing throughout the night. Each excellent in its own way! I suppose this is the best true authentic fado experience you can have...More

My tip. Go there early because it's very small and it gets full. When the show is about to start they let some people enter and watch the show (which takes 30 min). then they close the door, shut down the lights and turn on...More

We joined a Fado Tour through our hostel, Living Lounge Lounge. The price was reasonable as the guide gave us an introduction/information about Fado while walking to and while inside A Tasca do Chico. She also translated some of the songs to us. The drinks...More

Yes, it's tiny and you will have to fight for a seat. If you time it right and get a seat, like we did, it's a nice, fun experience. We only had drinks and enjoyed the Fado. When it's time, they close the door (not...More

Very small place, so you should come hour and a half earlier, so that you can sit and order. Nice place to listen to fado.

I think you can call them up and book, this place will get very busy... Fado usually starts every hour, such as 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, etc +10 mins maybe. When the Fado performance is on, they will be shut. Every performance, there... More
