We went there for dinner and live fado. The fado was exceptional! Very emotional, atmospheric and felt genuine. 4 different singers where changing throughout the night. Each excellent in its own way! I suppose this is the best true authentic fado experience you can have...More

My tip. Go there early because it's very small and it gets full. When the show is about to start they let some people enter and watch the show (which takes 30 min). then they close the door, shut down the lights and turn on...More

We joined a Fado Tour through our hostel, Living Lounge Lounge. The price was reasonable as the guide gave us an introduction/information about Fado while walking to and while inside A Tasca do Chico. She also translated some of the songs to us. The drinks...More

Yes, it's tiny and you will have to fight for a seat. If you time it right and get a seat, like we did, it's a nice, fun experience. We only had drinks and enjoyed the Fado. When it's time, they close the door (not...More

Very small place, so you should come hour and a half earlier, so that you can sit and order. Nice place to listen to fado.

You can have snacks and some beverages but the reason why you and loads of talented artists drop by this joint is for its atmosphere and gorgeous Fado singing. Tonight we experienced a wonderful treat - unexpectedly - two ‘fadistas’ with 2 string instrument players....More

Authentic intimate spot with amazing performances -- don't let the long line fool you, it moves quick! May need to stand and wait for seats to open up, the venue is quite small. Probably difficult for a group. Simple, rustic menu of snacky, traditional Portuguese...More

Great place to spend at least one session of the famous fado, but you have to be there early if you are a group otherwise you won't find space to sit all together. The space is beautiful and unique but is a very small place....More
