The pros: not touristy, relax and cosy ambiance, very nice service and they do take out. The dorada was fresh and grilled to perfection. A good amount of green beans on the side. The cons: rice with octopus was super salty, with very little octopus...More

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel concierge as a typical Portuguese (non-touristy) place, and it was just that. The service (by the owner couple, I think) was prompt, friendly and helpful. The food was very good and the price very reasonable. We...More

We went to the Dois Arcos based on the recommendation from the hotel. We had a starter of bread and cheese with olives. Everything was decent and tasty but average. For the mains we had the cod special and the grilled dourado fish. Again, the...More

Had a very nice meal here. Obviously a family owned and run cafe/restaurant. Very good service and the food was very good and typical for the area. It is a cafe/restaurant so expect very good/basic food.

We went to this restaurant and we were very hungry! We drank three drinks, ate a delicious fish and the beef with egg and both were very tasty! Especially the sliced potatoes served with the beef were very tasteful. Afterwards we ate to desserts. Overall...More

Perfunctory welcome, unhurried service. Ran out of cod and swordfish, so just a couple of choices remained. Vegetables over cooked, fish ok. All in all, an adequate meal but surely there are better places to eat nearby.

The atmosphere was very genuine - no overt pressure selling, but a friendly team who spoke very little English (we managed in a mixture of French, Portuguese and Spanish). Really delicious sprats and salads with a great selection of Portuguese drinks. This was my favourite...More

We went there for lunch. No glittery flashy front door there which led us to think this place is not after tourist money. We entered. It looked local. We had a copious tasty lunch for 2 for 30euro (sardines, pate, fejoada, and a salad which...More
