This place is great for Portuguese wine, cheese and sausages tasting. The staff is friendly and will explain to you the different types of food you are trying. It was all very tasty The sangria we had there was delicious too. The atmosphere is very pleasant. A bit expensive but worth it. Go for it!

We all family were looking for a traditiınal tapas restaurant and have found this restaurant. The ambiance, decoration, food and staff are great. Food is more than delicious. Probably we will go to this place again.

Our waiter was very welcoming and knowledgeable. We tried different kinds of white and green portuguese wines with a help of our waiter, all were great. The place itself is lovely decorated, classical but still cozy. Cheeses and cold cuts selection was good, but not the best one we had in Lisbon.

We decided to try here after a little look on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed. We had 3 dishes to share between 2 of us and each was delicious! The restaurant is cosy and beautiful inside, with an astonishing array of wine on offer, we were also treated to live music and they guy playing his guitar was really... More

The wine selection is mind blowing but the waiters are pretty good at recommending and we had a great set of wines and an overall nice experience. However, this is not a restaurant so don't expect great food (mostly cheese and small meat). It was a Sunday when we visited and most of the menu was struck out due to... More

Firstly, do not be put off if you discover this place is also a hostel. It's great. I can't praise it enough: The food is delicious and the wine selection unbelievable, the service is great and ambiance amazing. It's brilliantly located in the main drinking and eating district as well. When we went they had a superb live musician as... More

First night in Lisbon and what a great introduction. Quaint and cool restaurant with a great atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and were very helpful in selecting the food and wine. Wine selection was spot on and complemented the pork cheek, mushrooms and awesome cheeses. Make sure you book as it gets busy.

This is a small side street wine and food bar. The menu is exciting and very tasty, equalled by the extensive wine menu. The staff are friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about their products. We loved this place so much we visited three times during our stay. I recommend the meat and cheese platters for sharing, salads are delicious too!!

Description
Located in the heart of Lisbon, in a mandatory visit neighborhood as the Bairro Alto, just a few meters away from Chiado, you find in this Wine House a committed team in a relaxed, family atmosphere, accompanied by live music that animates every night. Between the passion for wines of Antonio Baeta and the passion for cuisine of Silvia Mendes, we get the alchemical mixture of two key ingredients that make the success of this house. On the one hand, more than 1000 national references between white, red, green, sparkling and fortified wine, where the vast majority can be tasted by glass, or even taken home bottled, on the other hand, a continuous search for the best Portuguese delicacies turned into simple dishes, but with great flavor, from cheese and sausages boards with homemade jams, to mussels or scallops gratinated, seared canned tuna, or even cod or octopus in the oven. Upstairs this XVIII century building, fully redone, you can find a room for the night in a cozy environment. Six bedrooms, some with private bathroom, a mixed dormitory, a common living room, a common kitchen where breakfasts are served or where you can cook your own food and an outdoor patio, make of this Hostel a selected place for those who like to enjoy the night of Bairro Alto, and want to stick around. Enjoy every moment of the two spaces in a relaxed way and with quality. Wine House Open every day from 12h00 to 24h00.
