I went to this restaurant to have lunch. It had been a religious place, than a brewery, the first in Portugal. The place is beautiful, the service is very kind and attentive, the food is great and the prices are fair. A place full of history and a pleasant place to eat.

Very nice steaks with some special sauces. Great seafood. Near city centre, theatre, shops and bars. Service is not so fast but they're nice people

Great seafood. We had crab and a seafood platter. Very fresh. The range of beers were very good too. The bread was not included but was brought to our table anyway and charged for. This was the only slight detraction from what was otherwise a very good meal.

This beerhouse is situated in a monastary. A lot of personeel help you, and the beer isfresch, cool and tastfull (I drink the Bohemia beer, light dark beer with more taste). The restaurant is nice and food is traditional. I had beef stewed in a sauce of cream. My companion had salmon: a very big piece with salad and patatoes... More

Try the soup with prawns and then you tell me! Eat the lady of the sea platter and tell me it wasn't good. Everything is great at this restaurant! Fresh bread rolls, fresh seafood and the steak and burgers are guaranteed to make you return for more! It's always bust at Trindade but the waiters make sure you are happy... More

This restaurant, like many in Portugal, charges for food that is brought to the table but not ordered. This includes things like bread, olives, and other small snacks. We were charged a total of 14.70 Euros for such items. We asked why and were told that this was standard practice in Portugal. At no time did the waiter offer to... More

Before telling you how great this place is, one small disclaimer: I went late at night, when then place was quiet. So, we were spoiled by attentive service and the charming atmosphere. But when you walk by Restaurante da Trindade, something calls out to you, saying "trust me." That trust is not misplaced. A delicious Portuguese menu - everything available,... More

We were in Lisbon in August and went to the restaurant Trindade. When we entered we were greeted by the collaborator Patricia and the owner Mr. Antonio. Sympathy and excellent team spirit. Although delay of approximately 30 minutes, the end result was wonderful. Emphasize that the employees told us that the delay was that the food is made at the... More

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighborhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
