a different, and enjoyable, way of dining

As this restaurant looked nice and was only a few seconds walk from our rental apartment, it was worth a try. We were glad we did. The waitress was very helpful, explaining the size of each typical dish (referred to as "delights") and recommending the appropriate number for each couple. The... read more

It was mid-afternoon, and we hoped we could still get lunch. Yes, and it was good. Our first Lisbon meal, and a great intro to local dishes. I really enjoyed the cod pancakes or fritters, and the garlic potatoes were excellent too. This is good, home-style cooking on a picturesque square (be sure to visit Sao Paolo church). The excellent... More

It is very well located in Largo S. Paulo a neighberhood that is becaming really trendy. Petiscos are good and price quality is fantastic, with 2 or 3 petiscos around 8 € each is sufficient fir 2 persons (see the menu photo). The space is nice. We were there in a saturday and was only one staff person which is... More

Went into nice looking restaurant at 6.10 on Saturday night and asked friendly waiter if they were open. He says yes and within 5 mins had drinks olives and bread. Then tried to order food at 6.40 and was told that they didn't serve food till 7.00 so would have to wait 20 mins till we could order. A bit... More

We had a lot of interesting and tasty dishes. Some I'd never tried or heard of before from previous visits to Portugal. The restaurant setting was nice and the waitress was very helpful.

Very much recommend! Wonderful food and drinks with impeccable service. Located in downtown Lisbon close to transport links. Traditional Portuguese dishes, well priced and absolutely delicious. Recommended the sausage croquettes, chorizo and a mojito.

On the surface, this restaurant had nice food in a nice modern atmosphere. Service was a little pushy, the waitress suggesting five dishes and sides as well as the cheese/charcuterie board (all between two). In hindsight, that would have been a ridiculous amount of food. But we had a nice time. Until 2.30am. Food poisoning is never good, the fact... More

Waiters are excellent and attentive. Got lovely free drink when I arrived, advice on wine, and both myself and partner devoured our main courses. Loved this place!!!

Toscas is a modern touch of the portuguese "tasca", where you can get a good glass of wine and a typical portuguese snack/tapa. The tapas at Toscas are a mini/modern take on a typical portuguese dish. Moderately priced for the the quality of food served. Highly recommended!
