Worst food experience in Portugal. It was recommended by the hotel we stayed in, there for trusted the place. For starters they bring you some packed cheese and bread, all looking worst than airplane food. Then we asked for some meat which was low quality,...you had to cook it yourself, Bacalao which was burned, and mushrooms which were from a can. You can laugh about it, but you’ll still end up paying way too much for a meal in Lisbon and leave smelling like a burned kitchen. AVOID!!!More

The meat was awfull. They carge you for some ‘starters’ that you didn’t ask for even if you don’t touch them. The mushrooms were from a can. The waitress confused the clams and didn’t want to change them. You may come if you want to...have a laugh.More

AVOID! When you enter they give you olives (1,90€), bread (1,90€), 4 types of spead (3€) and some cheese (3€) and lomo cuts (3€) all which you have to pay if you don’t reject. The potatoe chips easily the most terrible ones I ate ,...Covid measures non-existent, service moody, beer blant and warm. The waitress all the time nudging the clients whilst walking through the tables. Not even the meat was worth mentioning (my veal was OK but the picanha was a disgrace). All in a tourist trap, every tuk tuk driver in Lisbon will point you there. Not to mention the mayonnaise sauce offered with the meat was dodgy and was mist likely the cause for my diarrhoea afterwards. The only thing that wasn’t too shabby was the Sangria but neither worth mentioning.More

As a native from lisbon, I think of this restaurant as very typical Portuguese. I love to go there with my friends. The 'naco na pedra' or piece of beef on a hot stone is one of my favorite dishes and it is always incredible...to eat. We always have a nice experience, but I would not recommend if you don't like crowded places or strong smells. Also would advise to go around 20h if you want to get a table.More

The meat tasted quite odd, the smell was weird, and it is highly probable that it was the cause of 2 of us falling ill. I couldn’t leave bed for a day, and will be making the necessary complaints to relevant authorities. Not to mention...the smell that doesn’t leave for 48 hrs.More

The idea on which is based this restourant is great and fun. They give you a stone where you have to cook your meat. The problem is that the meat is not good at all. Based on my experience the meat was not fresh, it...had a weird taste. Anyway we didn't pay much for the dinner. This was the only good point.More

We arrived at the quirky Cabaças as were seated quickly..so we thought. The table we were seated at were still occupied! The guests still paying were hurried away! The place was small but quirky and I must admit the food was pretty good (steak on...the stone). However the staff were awful, our plates were snatched from beneath us within seconds of having our last mouthful without asking, and when finishing our drinks, after we had paid, tried to shuffle us out “you can finish your drinks as you walk.”...I don’t think so. The owner, a moody old man kept walking past our table clapping as he went. Which he had not been doing as we ate as he eyeballed us. In summary. If you are not too bothered about good service visit here as the steak on the stone was pretty good. But if you care about actually having a good time. I would steer clear of this steak cave. Run by a moody clown.More

We visited the place on new years eve because of good reviews and were not disappointed! It is smart to come a little bit early because there is gathering a line before the restaurant very quickly. Inside it is small and crowded, but the service...is good and fast. You get starters served without asking in the beginning which you can eat. Otherwise they just take it away before the main course which, in our case, was obviously the steak on the hot stone. With it comes salt and two dips as well as a plate of chips. Tastewise it was amazing, you cook your piece of steak (which is huge by the way) as you want and the provide you with another stone if yours cools down too much. Desserts were delicious as well and we liked it so much that we came back two days later! But it is a small place and many people order the stone so the smoke leaves you smelling strongly yourself afterwards. Nevertheless that is a small price to pay for amazing and CHEAP food!More

The food was ok, although my steak was very greasy which i didn’t like but for 11 euros it was okay. We were lucky to get a table open right away as we arrived and we got our food super fast after we ordered. After...receiving the bill and seeing that they were charging another 11 euros extras for some starters that wasn’t evem good and we didn’t eat at all, i asked the waiter what this was about since i did t ask for it, then came another man where i simply asked nicely if things in lesabon are like this and he just got angry and was so rude and began to tell me that if i can’t think right and i wanted to eat free, from the other reviews you can definitely see they try to exploit the most out of you and they are very rude.More
