Awesome Fado show, very interesting and entertaining, good food and good service, not a tourist trap, well balanced between songs, guitar solos and dance.

We booked the day before and got the last available booking. Only about 30 spaces. We loved how the family did everything from taking the booking, cooking, waiting at the tables and the Fado show. The food was fantastic and the house wine very drinkable.

Explore narrow streets and alleyways, small cafes and,
of course, the internationally acclaimed Fado music.
The earth-shattering Great Earthquake of 1755

neighborhoods of Mouraria, Castelo and Alfama remained
standing to this day. These neighborhoods represent
Lisbon at its historical best. The cool breeze of the

On off the least pretentious of Lisbon's Fado restaurants is also one of its finest. Hosts Duarte Santos and Ana Marina treat guests as family and the homely ambiance is warming and inviting. The homemade gastronomy is noted for its textures and flavours and generous portions, with the seafood cataplana (stew) a much-lauded feast. The menu is limited, but here it's all about the quality of the food. As for the entertainment, this is local fado at its most authentic -- the singers and musicians have known each other for years, and the performance is heartfelt and genuine. Quite often, diners are invited to join in which makes the evening truly memorable.
