Whether or not we just experienced Destino's on a bad day, I've no idea but we weren't amused by their treatment of us as money machines. They brought out ham as part of the "cover" that we didn't ask form they kept plugging food we didn't want and we were given the bill almost as soon as we'd stopped eating... More

We stayed in an apartment right above the restaurant. Rodgerio charmed my family the first night we were here and so we decided to have dinner there. We had the grilled octopus, bacalhau and garlic shrimp. All of it was great. We had such a great time, we had dinner there 2 more nights during our stay. Food was always... More

We visited this restaurant for lunch on March 30 while doing sightseeing in the area as it looked nice with beautiful tables outside - but we got terribly disappointed: 1. As a starter we ordered mussels and Morzilla, the Portuguese/Spanish black blood sausage! While the mussels were at least regular, the obligatory bread & olives as well as the sausage... More

We were weary from sightseeing when we wandered into Restauradores and luckly chose Destinos. The staff were very friendly and helpful in making suggestions for dinner. My husband had the typical Portuguese cod fish dish with potatoes a eggs which he said was delicious. I had a wonderful swordfish dish. The servings are typically large for Portugal and having a... This was our favourite restaurant during our stay in Lisbon. The staff were friendly and the food very good and at reasonable prices. You can sit outside and even though it was quite chilly there are heaters so it was OK. Would recommend a visit f you are nearby.

We'd already eaten at lunchtime some 7 or 8 hrs earlier and we weren't that hungry, but wanted something light to eat. This restaurant caught our eye as it was one of the few that didn't hassle you to come in a dine. We had bread and olives and ordered 2 Cod Gratin's and a bottle of house red. Really... More

Seafood rice soup was very delicious I recommend this menu for koreans.

Went there twice fo dinner as the stockfish (bacalao) there is very good. You can eat for a reasonable price, sit outside and watch people going by. Maybe in summer a very crowded place as it's beside one of the pedestrian streets in a tourist district.

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighborhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
